Default Low washer fluid warning

When making a change in Forscan, I got a quick low washer fluid warning. Did not think much of it, until I came across a few threads stating the trucks do not have one.

2018, it is in the manual. So the question is, do the 2018's have it?

Doesn't say "if equipped" so I'd say that it does.

With as many guys that have griped about it they may just end up selling a few extra '18's.

It's not a deal breaker but it's nice to have that warning light.

Guess the 18s have it. One way to find out, run it down low and see if the light pops up. I have a 16 so it doesn't have the warning so I fill it up every month just in case.

Report back here when you do. I'm curious also.

I wonder where the sensor plugs into if they do have them? All the way back to the BCM, or elsewhere? Might be an easy add to a 15-17.

You can drain the washer fluid reservoir if you want. I've done this not too long ago because I bought some type of washer fluid from NAPA and when I sprayed it onto the windshield it would almost immediately dry and leave the windshield looking terrible. Drained it, ran water through it, drained water, and then installed Rainx washer fluid.

Are you guys who are using Rain-X having any issues with the washers? I thought I read somewhere that anything but regular WW fluid would gum up the works?

As an aside, I just looked up the Rain-X WWF on Amazon and it's ungodly expensive! $30-50 for a GALLON? Pretty sure it would be cheaper to use regular WWF and do a spray-on Rain-X treatment once every week or two.
