We spend a lot of time at Amelia Island before the last week of May and after labor day, beaches are always empty. That is the sole reason I traded my 2wd for a 4x4!

That was one reason I got a 4x4 also. I remember getting stuck in my Jeep once because I had work being done on my front drive shaft. 4" of lift and 33" tires and there I was, needing a push.

Our beaches are fairly hard packed but you do run into some soft stuff.

This time of year is great because here in Saint Augustine it is 4x4 only as they have yet to pack any of the sand for open drive....you don't have to pay to get on and the sand is deeper and loose enough to have a little fun...

I am always seeing 2wd trucks stuck...even the ones with the 35's on a 6inch lift...I get a chuckle..
