Default Locking Gas Cap or Fuel Door

Anyone have any information on a locking gas cap or fuel door? I often leave my truck at trailheads and I really don't want anyone to take anything out of or put anything into my gas tank. Thanks

OP if you can hold out a lil bit longer I am almost complete with my power locking/unlocking OEM designed fuel door. Few more hoops to jump thru but will cover all years from 2015-2018.

It's pretty hard either way without the special funnel. I don't think I would worry about it myself. I watched someone dump 2 gallons of gas on the ground trying to fill an f-150 that ran out on a major road.

I think you might have a lot of owners interested in this feature if indeed it's OEM type of set up.

Don't understand why FORD hasn't come up with another design since 2015. They had the "plug" that fit pre '15 models with the lock.
Since the redesign of the alum body, the filler cap is a bit wider, this the previous one doesn't fit.

Lol anyone that follows my mod style knows that it's either form or nothing. This will look and feel oem...like it should have come this way. It may be my last contribution before moving on so it's important to me to get it right.

Exclamation

Look how many other F150 owner have that funnel, and now Chevy has that that design with a funnel filler.

So, if someone wanted to put something in your tank out of spite, it wouldn't be hard to get a hold of a filler funnel.

that's why there needs to be a locking plug for the 15+ models.

All they have to do it drill a hole in the tank. Why worry about a locking door?
