Default Local news video for 2.7L engine plant

Here's a clip from Toledo news highlighting the Ford Lima, OH plant that is building the 2.7L Ecoboost. Pretty cool footage:

80 a day huh.. interesting.. 3 months left = 90 days x 80 = 7200 engines = 7200 trucks this year. uuuuuh that is tiny.

7200 2.7L - does not include 3.5s and 5.0s.

Here's what they said:
Right now the 2.7 liter EcoBoost lines are in launch mode so they only build about 80 engines a day. That will change drastically next year. When the lines are at full speed, they will build about 200,000 of these engines every year. That number could also increase based on demand.

What he said. You have to understand, the launch of a new vehicle is very complicated and is a long process to get to full production. With the thousands of parts that go into any vehicle, things happen and that's what pre-production is for.
