The "Livnitup Salute" Thread
Many of us here owe a huge debt of gratitude to other members who've done the pioneering legwork that help us enjoy our trucks more. Anyone who's used FORScan has a couple of members to be grateful to, but Livnitup needs to be at the top of that list.
Please don't think that I'm forgetting others like Airborne_Ape and DanMc85 among many others, but as Livnitup's avatar says, he's "The FORScan Guy".
I was trying to think of a way to recognize him beyond the "Thanks" button. I think I've come up with something. Maybe it's a bad idea, but here goes.
One of the simple mods that can be made with FORScan is to change the default number of flashes of the turn signals. From the factory, our lane-change mode flashes three times (five while towing). With one simple change (SCCM 724-01-01 xxxx x8xx xxxx), we can make that four flashes (six while towing).
I've made that change to my truck. I now propose a title to that exact mod..."The Livnitup Salute"
To anyone not "in the know", the change will be absolutely invisible, but to us "FORScan insiders", it's a subtle indication that we have the know-how to make our trucks a little better.
What I'd suggest is for members here to make this change and then keep our eyes open for other F150's (I bet most of us do that now anyway).
If you notice a truck that flashes four times, then post that sighting here. It could be as simple as, " July 3, Red XLT, Main and Third, Columbus, OH" .
The members here are pretty widespread, so I'm guessing that this won't be a very active thread, but who knows.
One way or another, if you see four flashes, say a little thank you to Livnitup.

Lol, I don't even know what to say about the "salute" other than thank you all for the kind words! If anyone would rather not do this but show support in another way, there's an Autism Walk I do every year in December that's near & dear to my heart because my son has Autism. Anyways, I'll have a link in my signature probably around October if anyone feels like donating a few bucks to support me in the walk. Thanks!

No doubt that everyone who has benefited from FORScan changes has done so because Livinitup has been so diligent in researching and informing us.
I'm not sure I'll notice four flashes in traffic, but I'll make the change when I get the chance out of recognition for all he's done. Why not?

I just found Livinitup's Forscan tutorial and spreadsheet. Now when my truck arrives in a couple weeks I'll be armed and dangerous!

That is probably the Best thread around for our 15+ trucks. Just getting rid of that damned fake engine noise was worth it! I also like the subtle changes like auto fold mirrors when the doors lock, the GT screen on Sync, the Global front windows, along with a few others that make the truck it's own.
