Default List of Ford factory options you can add on later

I tried searching to see if this was done, but did not find any hits. I think this would be an interesting to see all the add-ons we could do if our truck didn't come with it.
what is it? level of difficulty of completing?

You should check out @Firerunner build thread. He has dont just about all of it. Also, @2016BoostedGreyGoose build thread, fine examples of OEM added options.

If you buy an XLT and addon till you get to a Lariat build your wasting money. When you check black book it will only give you XLT values no matter what. Also no matter what engine Black Book will come up with the same values. Eco 3.5 is a 3300 option in canada 2.7 os a 700 option, on trade in the price is the same. Unless you need the 3.5 dont buy it.

Somewhat true. But some people don't buy a vehicle with resale values in mind, like me.

thank you for the input, i was wondering about that before i purchased my truck.

what do you think about between STX and jumping to XLT sport?

I was looking at what i missed and what i may want to try add on. I think this thread would be interesting to have a list of what we could do after purchasing our trucks

Here is a thread on upgrading the XL/STX; https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-...ything-321000/

I have added keyless entry pad (hardwired), carpet, Katzkin leather, painted mirror caps, painted door handles, painted tailgate handle, remote start, 10 way power driver seat, heated and auto-dimming side mirrors, drivers sun visor with mirror and SE headlights.

It's hard for me to get behind the wasting money argument. It's not my money they are spending, so it's not my place to say they are wasting it.
For some, like me, it's not about getting to a Lariat trim level....it's about building the truck you have chosen to the comfort level of YOUR choosing. I don't worry about what I've invested, or what I'll get out of it if/when I decide to trade it. Instead, for me it is a type of relaxation therapy to work on my truck....not to mention a boost to the ego when the dealers tell you "that's not possible"

The issue is resell sights like http://canadianblackbook.com which seems very close to dealer offers do not offer anything but ford options. As an example 2018 xlt doe snot have any options such as:
8inch screen
skid plates
leather seats
Nav
Sport Pkg

So you pay xxx and get nothing.

To answer the OP question there are several things that can be added - some used at salvage yards will save money or Ebay or this forum for sale, etc... starting with the obvious - wheels, hitch, brake controller, step gate, side steps, bed steps, spray in liner, rear slide window, carpet, fog lamps, tow hooks, skid plates, stereo, grill, chrome, 36 gallon tank, seats, mirrors, steering wheel, paddle shift, etc... Some have even added 4A to the 4WD, hill descent, BLISS, ACC, etc...
