Default Lights turn on with the truck off and key not nearby.

Maybe everyone is aware of this, I wasn't...

With your truck off (even without the key nearby) the headlights and taillights turn on if you push the left stalk forward. They turn back off when you pull it towards you. My round headlight switch was in the off position, I didn't touch it.

I don't know the purpose, I did it on accident while running wires to my dashcam. I then did it on purpose to confirm it wasn't a fluke.

I'm sure it's useful for someone, so I'm passing on the info. I know there is a huge tips & tricks thread. I couldn't bring myself to searching through all those pages again to see if this was listed.

Well, I guess I was the only one that didn't know about this.

In my defense, this is my first Ford and I've only had it for 2 weeks.

So the truck is turned off. The fob is in the house. I press the turn signal lever (stock) forward toward the dash as if turning on the brights and my lights come on and stay on? Mine didn't. Just went out and tried it. Am I missing something?

You did exactly what I posted. I just went to try it again. Apparently (I didn't realize I did this), you do just as described....except nudge it toward yourself first (like flashing the highs) and then push it forward. By pulling it back, it wakes up the system. Sorry for the confusion, I just didn't realize I had done that part. Note, once awoken, you won't have to pull it backwards to repeat the process....and I don't know how long they will stay on.

Nope, mine doesn't do it either. If all the lights come on, sounds like a defect somewhere.

Pull the turn signal back does it for me.. turns on all lights. Pull back a second time and the headlights turn off. The rest stay on for a bit.

Does it on my 2017 KR, they turn off automatically after a short period of time, probably the same as the delay set on the auto lights off.

Must be a 2017 thing. My 16 will flash the lights, but will not stay on.
