To lift or not to lift..

I would say she looks perfect the way she sits, just spread the crash bars if there giving you trouble...or from what I have read you can just switch them around but it sounds like a big job. Removing is an option but alot of guys will advise against. There probably on there for a reason but look at it this way...my 15 super cab ain't got no crash bars. But either way that's a very classy looking ride toy have

So I have been enjoying my new xlt..even with the little 2.7 ecoboost in it. I'm not a horsepower fanatic and the 2.7 still give enough low end tq for what I need.
So far I have a 2" level and 295/70r18 toyo at 2 extreme. They measure 34.5" tall and 11.5" wide. So I decided to get some new wheels. Sota Novakane 18x9 with 0 offset. Now I have a slight rub on the crash bars.
Would you go 4" lift or 5" lift. I guess when these tires run out I may go with a true 35x12.50

Do whatever you want, forget about what people think of you. They are all probably are gonna hate on you regardless of lift and they will prob even laugh at you too if gaggle of em form up in a snob mob. They may even point and laugh! :U
Who cares...?
I'd go 4" on the lift but I agree with most posts here, going too big can become a maintenance and driving hassle on a daily driver.
I'm prob gonna just go with the RC 3" level with new corrected UCA's and a block.. I'm sure my cv angle will be ugly, but I'd be shocked if I put more than 5k miles on this 4wd system through the trucks life.. I might swap the spacers in the kit for fox 2.0's.. Still debating myself too.
Ive already got a set of 35" toyo AT2's I'd like to use..

Had a 5.5" lift on my last truck (Ram) with 35"s.. Fun and looked nice, but it wore components out fast and if you care about MPG at all, don't bother. Wasn't ever seriously off-roaded either. If you've never had a lifted truck, do it. I can't see myself doing more than a level from now on though.

Let me give you both ends of the spectrum, from personal experience.
I had a 2012 Silverado HD diesel. 6 inch lift. 37s. The whole shabang. As stated above, I really only gained about an inch of clearance. And to be honest, I took that truck off-roading TWICE!!! it was a mall crawler. Now I'm 6'6 so tall trucks and me go together like Forrest and Jenny. I personally LOVED THE TRUCK. the downside? Took a fuel economy hit, couldn't park in 99% of parking garages, and my 5'2 mom and grandma couldn't get in.
Long story short, traded it for a 13 Screw Raptor. But the stock shocks to mid perch, gained about 2 inches in the front, threw 37s on and did some minor trimming, BEST RIDING TRUCK IVE EVER HAD. No big lift. Just lifted the front enough to compensate for the tires I wanted. Family had no issue entering and exiting. I fit in every mall garage.
With my new truck I just got, I'll be ordering a Brenthal Baja Kit with the adjustable springs for their mid travel kit. No lift. Just the ability to run 35s. Because when off-roading I care about about suspension cycling, not how high my truck is.
I Love the look of a lifted truck. But at the end of the day you're out $3k for the lift, $2k for wheels and tires and ALL YOU REALLY DID was raise it 4-6 inches to look better. The ancient Romans were the first to believe in "Form over Function". They cared about looks. I'm a believer in "Function over form".
