Default To lift or not to lift..

So I have been enjoying my new xlt..even with the little 2.7 ecoboost in it. I'm not a horsepower fanatic and the 2.7 still give enough low end tq for what I need.

So far I have a 2" level and 295/70r18 toyo at 2 extreme. They measure 34.5" tall and 11.5" wide. So I decided to get some new wheels. Sota Novakane 18x9 with 0 offset. Now I have a slight rub on the crash bars.

Would you go 4" lift or 5" lift. I guess when these tires run out I may go with a true 35x12.50

Spread bars or whatever easiest to do and stay at your current setup

I always like the look of 4-5" lifts but I like the practicality of a 2" level way more.

1st week or so with a lift is like a new girl friend, feels awesome every time you get in and ride er.. puts a smile on your face... the thrill wears off, then she's just another hag. Truck still looks cool lifted but the rush wears off and then it gets old jumping in all the time.
Sitting outside a quickmart, some hag walks by didn't know I was in it says "Oh look, another guy compensating for a small dick" she saw me, blushed and walked away.
Last truck I ever lifted

I don't lift my vehicles anymore. For one, I barely fit in downtown parking garages as it is, and that's a necessity. Also, as Mudder mentioned, the small man syndrome stereotype. People also don't know what they're getting into when they lift, and the higher you go, the more you need to compensate (control arms, shims, drop brackets etc) and gets expensive real fast. Lastly, the most annoying is when people lift and/or put on larger tires and then come on the forums crying and asking how they can get better mileage LMAO

I had a neighbor where I used to live who was talking about his lift kit and how he has much better ground clearance than my truck. He was all proud of his 6 or 8" lift and 35's until I pointed out his rear axle is the lowest clearance, and he really only gained 1". Looking at both trucks, the axle clearance of his and my truck looked the same hahahah

after daily driving many 6" lifted trucks, **** does get old. Most likely the most I will do with my 16 4wd is a leveling kit and stuff some meats under it. Getting too old to be climbing up in that tall ****

The dick thing made me laugh, I have 3" in the front with spacer and Eibach and 1" in the rear, I toyed with the lift and just went with a taller tire, your truck looks great stay with what you have and there will be no question of your dick size

Your truck looks great to me, I'd leave it as is and deal with the rub. Higher you go the more mpg's you lose.

Love the color too, is that the Lighting Blue?

Truck looks really nice the way it is now. Why would you want to drop more money for a look that will not be much different.

Lifted trucks are fun to play with but for a work truck, it was a pain. I actually never owned my own lifted truck but did borrow when my truck was borrowed. Loading Sheetrock, concrete bags, etc in a lifted truck was a pain. But to be honest, if it wasn't for height clearance issues, I would have done a 4" lift

The truck that I borrowed was a F250 with a 6" lift. If I was 6'5 wouldn't have been a problem...unfortunately I'm not.
