Well, the spacers gave the look I wanted but rubbed the crash bars shiny, soooooo....

I decided I needed more lift, wider tires, and no spacers to fix the rub. So I bought some boss coil overs and some 35x12.5 nittos and took the spacers off, well that solved the rub but it looked too tucked again.

So back go the spacers, but that meant off come the crash bars, and some trimming of the wheel wells.

Anyway, when I walk up on it in a parking lot now, it still looks to short. So I wish I would of just bit the bullet and gone 4" lift at least.

That being said, I'm staying put cause a 4" lift wouldn't fit in my garage.

The windscreen for the noisy a** moon roof hits the trim of my garage now if I pull in with the moon roof open.

IMO, if you're considering a lift AT ALL - get the lift and never look back. That's what I've learned so far owning this truck.
Neck, that truck is a beaut. Thats with the Boss 0-3" coilovers and the 3" blocks?

C'mon Stage 3, you know I've already drooled over that truck.

New customer here (K&N 77, Husky liners, bug deflector) but it may be easier if I just set up an allowance from my paycheck to you guys.

this is my opinion on lift or level: level a new truck, lift an older truck..... I might just say this because I am not a rich man

So I'm sorry in advance for my ignorance but i have a 15 XL thats just a 2wd with rear locking. with that said am i able to go with a leveling kit and how big of a tire can i go with without any problems? i don't off road, I'm just a simple working dad looking for a nice visual upgrade to my beautiful truck. Even though its a 2.7l eco i love it and to me the pick up is quick especially when the Advance traction control is on and Sports mode is on. thanks in advance

Bug deflector and K&N 77, going on this weekend.

Wheels and tires are planned, probably Fuel Anzas and EDIT:Terra Grappler G2s with 35s or something close, but those can only come after there's room.

I don't need this thing to be huge. Originally I was considering a 2.5" level and leaving it at that, but I've heard the damage anything over 2" can do damage over time.

I don't want to waste the money on a level now and eventually go with a 4 inch lift later, so I wanted to hear opinions from you gentlemen (aka my wife's new worst enemies.) Pictures of your rig are greatly appreciated, and please translate any severe gearhead speak into lepers terms. Spent the years I should've been learning cars enjoying the Army and haven't picked all too much up.

Thanks guys.

I would never waste my time with a level again. Had an ICON Stage I and planned adding more but I think the level caused my CV Axle to go bad. Pulled that crap off and went with a 6" ProComp with the 60k warranty. About to put Fox 2.5 Coilovers in next month and some decent skid plates. I couldn't be happier even though I need bigger tires and this pic is poor...day I picked up from installer.

If you even think you're going to want to lift it, just do that. Skip the level. Once you put the level on it, you're really going to want the full lift.

Do they even make decent lift kits for 2wd?

Yep - I just put the coilovers on at whatever they were set at out of the box. It was just about dead straight with the 3" rear block, but after about a day, it settled quite a bit and there's probably a 1" rake now.

I've read on here that if you crank the coilovers all the way to 3" it rides pretty rough. As it is, it's for sure rougher riding than stock, but that's the coilovers AND the 10 ply tire, not just the coilover.

I agree, lets just have part of your paycheck direct deposited to us and then you can get truck parts every 2 weeks. lol. Also, for the record picking 1 suspension and leaving it alone will be much cheaper than our way of doing it. .

What kind of offroad performance does this give you? I'm into the high speed desert stuff. Coming from a Raptor, I'm kind of spoiled. I'm stuck between a 6 inch lift or a mid travel kit.
