1367 for the 6" zone kit with nitro rear shocks and shock boots. direct from zone. readylift is 1900 range. I like the steering drop on the readylift kit not sure if that added feature is worth the extra change

After discussing with BDS, I actually ended up adding a preload spacer to the front coil for technically 5" of lift. I wanted to raise the front in lieu of lowering the rear to level the truck after installing the lift. The 4" lift came with a 4" front spacer and a 4" rear block which left it with 1.5" rake. I now have 5/8" rake.
Did you have to get longer U-bolts for the Hellwig Sway Bar?

I like that the lift looks fine with that piece not cut. I wish the lift companies could make the lift with out cutting parts.

Unless you went with a 12" lift, there is no way for the driveshaft/diff to clear that horn without cutting. If a shop told you they could install a 4" or 6" on a 4WD without cutting, you need to go have words with them.

Take a photo of the drivers side.

After all the discussion I went to the dealership and they did state the bracket was removed but it's not the frame itself it's a bracket welded to the frame so that is why they stated it's still under warranty.

They stated as you did that the bracket will have to be removed for any lift as this. So if anyone is looking to lift this is what it will look like on the driver side, but not harmful to the frame.

Good to know now, that's why I like this forum you get for the most part great help and info.

Thanks

Not harmful to the structure of the frame, but once you have the lift, don't believe you can go back to stock.

The BDS warranty includes replacement parts for anything damaged, but the real value is in the powertrain warranty. Suspension parts can't be that expensive to replace should you have an accident or the likes. Heck, insurance would cover that anyway. Just don't see the value in paying approx. $600+ for the BDS.
I've been researching kits for a '16 platinum. I spoke to a guy who owns a shop in Chicago and is starting another shop up in town in Northern Ca where I live. His comments on the BDS kit were that the Fox coilovers that come with the BDS kit are not the same quality as the ones you can buy separately. I have absolutely no idea if this is true, if Fox sells different grade coilovers, etc. He thinks the top kit out there is Full Throttle, but for what I'm trying to achieve, I don't think it's worth the added cost (around $4600 for a 6" with coilover, or $2650 with strut/spring set up). He said you can do a RC 6" kit for $1200 + $450 each for the "legit" Fox coilovers. I haven't dug into the details after this initial conversation.

My gut says that Zone is a good option with the Fox coilovers. I'm mainly curious if anyone knows if the Fox coilovers that come with the BDS kit are any different than what you might purchase/add to a different kit.

I am so on the fence on whether to put a 4" lift on my truck my nuts hurt....

I drive enough on the Interstate that I hate to lose any handling or ride comfort. On the other hand I do pull my Toy Hauler and head up to the Mountains and traverse the back (unpaved) roads/trails. rarely do any "major" off roading.

Def. prefer the look of the lift. I think the cutting is what has held me off.

How does the handling/ride comfort compare?

I am very happy with the ride on mine. Honestly I can't tell much difference and I had 2.5" level prior to the lift. The biggest difference that is noticed is the bigger 10 ply tires, no doubt rougher than stock tires but then again I have always run larger tires and prefer the "truck" ride. I was actually surprised the lift did not change the ride more. The suspension on these new trucks helps a lot IMO. I am not running coilovers on mine at the moment, stock front shocks.
