Lift Issue
I bouth a 2015 F150 Crewcab 5.0 Lariat FX4.
After about 6 months worth of debating i had a 6" Pro Comp lift installed. This was in October of last year. It has been back to the place that installed the lift 4 times because it makes noise. Just picked it back up today and the "fix" Pro Comp said to do did not work because it is still making noise. It has to be the right angle to make the noise and the best guess as to the culprit of the noise is the crossmember that bolts onto the frame in the front. Pro Comp said they didnt allow for a clearance with the frame flexing. Clearance has been put in but it still is making noise. Anyone else have any issues with lifts or is this just me.

I've never had anything more than a level, but a buddy of mine put a 6 inch lift on an almost new Silverado a few years ago and he was never happy with it. Lots of clunks and creaks. You are basically extending all the front suspension attachment points down 6" and this adds a lot of leverage for the front wheels to make stuff move. I know they add bracing back to the crossmember, but it still adds a lot of stress on the components. His kit also had 6" blocks between the springs and the rear axel, and soon as you shifted the truck to drive, you could watch the rear springs wrap, and the rear wheels would move forward in the wheel well. If the guys who installed it claim it's ok, it may be the nature of the lift. Maybe someone who has one can clarify or confirm
Something is wrong. Make the installer figure it out and make it right. These suspension lifts should ride close to stock, period. I would guess the installer didn't do the crossmember correctly.
The initial issue was Pro Comps fault. When the designed the lift they forgot to allow a clearance on the crossmember for the frame flex. The shop thinks they have it narrowed down to bushings. When the shop that does the alignments did the alignment they were having issues and ended up cranking down on the bushings. So i really hope this is the last time it has to go back. This will be the 5th or 6th time it has gone back.

I have a stage 2 pro comp 6” lift and get a clunk noise on the drivers side at full cank ocasionally and when hitting speed bunos sometimes. Or a hard brake in a turn will do it. Did them changing the bushings help? I took it back to my installer and the ****s said they couldnt hear anything and that “coilovers just make noise since they articulate top and bottom a lil”. My stage 2 made an awful noise at full crank after a few months of having it. it was just the turn stops needed greased. Since then it hasn't made a peep.
The lil nub under the brake? Mine have some rubbing marks but they arent the culprit because sometimes the noise happens over a bump when not turned. And it doesnt sound like a grind like i would imagine those turn stops would. Thanks for the reply tho!
