It takes some trimming to make the 2017 Super Duty license plate light housings fit. Here is the thread that shows how it's done. > https://www.f150forum.com/f118/f250-...lights-376757/

The Super Duty light housings come with LED lights but I bought some 56 lumens lights that are brighter. I got them from Nick @ https://www.apollo-optics.com/

Nassty,

So it appears that those lights aren't flooding the tailgate like the stock housings with led bulbs...is that correct? Also, in some of the photos on this thread, it appears just swapping out the stock bulbs for led causes some lightwash issues with the rear camera...does that still occur when you swap out the entire housing like you did?

Thanks

The Super Duty housings fixed both of those issues. The 2nd pic is before I installed the 56 lumens LEDs. They now look whiter and brighter.

What is different on the SD Lens VS ours?

Cool, that design would provide a tighter more focused beam instead of the scattered/spill on mine...Gonna put it on my list!...Thanks--:>
