Default Leveling kit warranty issues

I'm thinking about installing a 2 inch level on my 2016. Was wondering if anyone has noticed any impact to ball joints or anything directly related to their level? I purchased an extended warranty and I don't want to void a lot of what it covers. Thanks.

As I understand it, a 2" level isn't enough of a difference to increase wear on suspension components significantly.

My 2 inch auto spring kit is waiting to be installed...

I will report back as far as the alignment issues go??? Have been told repeatedly this will affect the toe in only but my alignment guy laughed and said there will be camber issues also I guess we shall see?

My local dealer has an XL with a rough country 2.5 level kit installed with 285/65/18s and they said it would be under warranty.

With that said, you'll always be covered under the Magnason Moss Warranty Act which basically states that the dealership must prove that the aftermarket part that was installed is the cause of the direct failure of the OEM component.

This happened to me, dealer claimed the installer did it and didn't cover it. Get yours installed by the dealer and you won't have to worry. Might cost a few bucks extra, but it's worth it if they will.

Good point. What did it cost you? I wondered how it happened and might have been from the lift. I didn't have dealer do my spacer but didn't matter in the end for me.

About $500 and I moved a week later or so so I didn't have much time to fight the installer to get my money back. The installer DID do it though as far as I can tell. They didn't get it back in the boot right when they reinstalled everything after putting the coilovers and UCAS on.
