Thanks for starting this thread, been looking between these tires for a while. I prefer 275/70r18 with my 1.5" level, but Nitto makes their A/T in a P rated 295/70r18. End up with a bigger tire that rides better and is lighter... hard to not go 295/70r18.

Yep, they are plasti dipped. I did 5 coats and they have been on awhile, probably at least 3 or 4 months now. N not even a chip in it yet.

Anyone experience any rubbing at install? My shop insists that if i go to a 295 they'll have to cut the crash bars. Assuming no control arm rubbing either?

You will need at least a 2in level, mine is to fit but I had to add 1/2spacers as the tires would rub my uca at full turn with one wheel on a bump n the other lower

I have a nearly identical truck (which XLT) and looks like I already found my next mod for the summer. Did you take the wheels off?

I didnt, just put a garbage bag around the drum n brakes. I did pull off all the lugs though, the contrast between the stainless n black looks good plus you would run off any plasti dip anyway if you ever have to change a tire.
