Yesterday I did a borla XR1 muffler, kept the factory resonator and then dumped it out into a dual tip in front of the passenger side rear wheel much like an old school lightning setup. It sounds great and really opened up the flow a bit versus that chambered school bus muffler that was on it.

I did a near identical setup as PLASMAN. I kept the factory resonator, added a new Magnaflow muffler then dumped the dual tipped exhaust in front of the rear passenger tire. Very reminiscent of the 90's Ford Lightning. I bought the muffler and tip from Summit racing for less than $200, and my local muffler shop installed everything for $100. Sounds good, looks cool and for $300, can't beat the price.

So you guys are keeping the factory resonator but replacing the muffler? I want to do something with my exhaust but I do a lot of highway roadtrips so I don't want something that's too loud or drones.
