True, but I want to tow a fifth wheel too. The whole reason I got the HDPP. I know the 6.2 can do it, but the diesel is all around better suited for it.

The 6.2 actually has less torque than the 3.5 too.

Well I’m back in the shop again. Hopefully this time I’ll get the buyback. Have a leak in the rear diff cover and from what I’ve read sounds like I’m having the same issues as others on this forum as well being my rear diff is messed up. Others with the 3.55 elocker have been having the same issues I have and sounds like rear diff Fix is in the works. Ford really likes to make this a nightmare for us. Good luck guys

Not making much progress. Today I received a email telling me:
"I’ve sent an email to the ordering team to see if they can have an additional allocation to replace the one if they will order a vehicle for the customer. I will let you know what they say"

No wonder the dealers don't like working with Ford. So I am still in limbo. Have permission to order a truck but it does little good if I cant get a dealer to order it for me.

Yep, pretty sad when the dealers dont want to be involved either. One thing I have learned from this post, if ever the occasion arises for me, I will take the hit (if applicable) and use an attorney! Should have on my AC.

Good luck guys!

So this is painful for a dealer too?
That sucks.
Called yesterday to start the buyback. replacement process. So far they have not called me back. Imagine my surprise.

Guess the stars aligned today. Finally received what the dealer requested and the order was submitted. Now the waiting begins and hope there is no surprises as far as $$$ numbers once the order arrives. I told my RAV agent I really was determined to have the truck ordered prior to Thanksgiving and she helped make it happen.

So my truck went back in 11/15. Picked up yesterday. The manager was not there to talk to to see what was done. They said my alignment was off as well as my tires balanced. They pulled my diff cover to reseal it but never check my diff. I asked for them to give me an oil change and that never happened as well. Get in the truck to drive home and my truck is now pulling to the left, wheel shaking Instead of just the vibrating and my steering wheel isn’t straight. Great alignment job huh. Also, my auto start/stop isn’t functioning. Sent an email to my case manager to reopen my buyback case. Expecting a call from the service manager Monday

So I opened a new case yesterday. Dealer calls today with an update saying they had alignment done again and truck feels much better but still noticed slight vibration. So they decided to swap out my rims and said it drove great and they are waiting on approval from ford for new rims(something I asked them to do 6000 miles ago). How confident am I that it’s the fix, very little. My question to them was what about new tires? If they’ve been on a rim that’s out of whack, wouldn’t there be cupping or unevenness to the tire now. Anyway, they said there’s no signs of damage to rims but feel this is the problem so since they’re defective ford should approve it. I wonder how long this will take. I have much to say/ask new case manager.
