Hey folks.
Another newbie question. I searched here using a few search terms and even fired up teh google machine and looked through my owners manual, but couldn't find the info I was looking for.

Question: Does the strip around the headlight and taillight light up on the XLT with the 302A package? Yellow on the front and red on the back? Or is that part of a trim level or option package my XLT 302A FX4 doesn't have.

The attached pictures I found on google show what I mean.

i beleive as long as you get the LED headlight option it doesnt matter what model. may be incorrect on that though

If you just got the 302 package then no you dont.

The orange LED around the headlights only comes on Lariat 502a package, KR, and Platinum trims. The LED headlights are not an option on the XLT. The LED strip around the tail lights only comes on Lariat and above trims.

i was offered the LED option when i built my XLT at the dealership

Although I have a lariat I didn't get the led package. I got the led tails by surprise but it may have something to do with the blind spot radar in them. Oh and I had the 501a package. And added the BLIS option.

What LED option? LED headlights aren't an option on the XLT. Only LED option is the LED mirror spotlights.

they asked if i wanted led headlights when they built it.. glad i didnt chose the option then because if i paid for it and didnt get it i would have been pissed... lol

They are wrong. There is no LED headlight option on the XLT. You can see all the options for the XLT on Ford's website when you build and price. I just double checked the F-150 order sheet and there is no option on there either for the XLT. I wouldn't have been happy if you paid for something you didn't get. You are fine though. They must have been looking at the Lariat options.

yeah i checked as well after i posted that there were probably trying to get me all into them to try to talk me into upgrading models .... sneaky b@st@rds....lol
