Default Leather care for ‘17 Lariat..?

So I did the requisite searching thru the leather care threads here and found most posts were King Ranch specific.. I’ve got the Lariat and wondering if either Leatherique or Leather CPR would work for the “leather” on these seats...

I don’t know how much is really leather or some man made material and what consequently works best to clean & keep cracks/wrinkles (whatever you call that) from occurring over time..particularly on the drivers seat.. thanks in advance

Saddle soap has worked on leather for hundreds of years and is in expensive. But hey ther is a lot of expensive stuff every else recommends because it works for them. I recommend what works for me on any leather including jackets chairs seats and yes even saddles.

I read a few posts saying not to use that as our seats aren’t real leather.. or most isn’t anyway.. that the oils in the soap(?) wouldn’t have any effect on the seats or something like that... maybe I’ll havr to just try a few products and see...

I use lexol and have for years clean and condition...works ok on the others fakes too. Lots of time just soapy water and then clean water is fine.

I have been using Mcguire's gold glass rich leather care lotion for the last 9 yrs on autos. My seats look like new in my 2013 and my 2005 mustang. You have to get the lotion and not the pump bottle from wally world. The pump bottle from Wal-mart took a little color off my seat when I did a test area. It didn't stain seat but left a slight color residue on microfiber cloth.

The leather used in the Lariat is definitely a huge disappointment. I just use a warm wash cloth and then a light coat of leather conditioner. Damn seats feel don't feel like real leather to me.

The seating surfaces are Leather not the whole seat. Most modern vehicles seats are, if leather plastic coated. According to my research traditional leather conditioners don't really work on them, you are better off using a coating like wax.

I have been using Colinite Leather cleaner and protector, I suspect it's very similar to their famous wax. It seems to work really well, and I have a Light Camel interior, and a Farmer, so I would know!

I use Aerospace 303 on my Clazzios, similar material I imagine. Coated leather.
