Default Leasing a F150 - Motor Recommendations?

I'm in the market to buy/lease a 2015/2016 F150. I might tow 1% of the total miles on the truck. The 2.7 EB looks like the best option, however, I do have concerns about GDI longevity as I may keep the truck for 200k+ miles. Any known issues with these year models so far? I've heard an oil catchcan may be needed for GDI motors?

What's the ballpark I should expect to pay on a:

2.7 EB
6' bed
leather seats
double sunroof

Thanks for the feedback ladies and gents!

Engine is personal preference, they are all good.

Check out the invoice price thread for $.

You mean 6.5 foot box? It's either 5.5, 6.5, or 8.

You will need a lariat 501 or higher for leather.

I'd honestly look at an XLT, and add katzkin leather. The lariat leather is pretty lack luster.

I'm in Houston, TX. Does that qualify as south east? Did some searching around and couldn't find any rebate schedule. Was your suggesting to wait because monthly rebates will probably be higher since the trucks are 1 month older?

The 2017s will be arriving on lots in October so the 2016s will get more discounts. How much more and on which specific trucks of course remains to be determined as well as if they will still have a 2016 with the features you want.

As far as leasing goes, the MF is horrible right now. 2017 lease is probably close to same as 2016. The current rates are good till October 5th, after that date they should put out a better rate. I leased last month but thats because I got $10,000 off with only $1,500 of it being rebate

No issues with the motor. It was the only reason I bought my truck.
