My 2017 3.5 EB drips the condensate, but it is clear, not sooty at all.

Get the same with my '15 3.5Eco. Did a bunch of searching on here and found it was the condensation dripping out as said above. Glad to know there's not something wrong, but I hate the mess it's leaving. I shouldn't have to put cardboard down on my floor for a 3 year old truck.

If my 2017 3.5 Eco Boost drips it must be clear like yours as I don't see any sooty marks on the driveway.

the 17 and up ecoboost with the duel fuel injection shouldn't have nearly as much soot at idle as they use the standard port injection at idle and in the cold where DI isnt nearly as effective.

Found this discussion (and forum) as the result of a search - thank you so much for posting! We purchased a 2017 F150 in November and noticed the odd, non-oily, carbon-like deposits in our driveway. We have now nicknamed them "Ecoboost Sharts" and this thread has eased our concern.

yeah its funny my father in law has a 12 EB and my 12 5.0 which are identical only his drips soot and same with my 12 focus with the 2.0 DI drips black soot. from what im aware of they dont get a complete burn unless they are very warm lol

so my wife sent me a picture this morning of the same thing from my 2.7. sounds like its normal, but rather messy. is there any way to fix it?
