Lariat leather seat treatment?

it is however still leather underneath and that coating does wear off and if you're lucky it doesn't take any color along with it. (ask some ford explorer owners)

but you are mostly right and even bentley, rolls, etc etc leather is treated too - still has to meet DOT specs for fire and the like - which is what that coating is for. some use better grain leather than others. - and the hides are soaked in the chemicals as part of the tanning process for auto leather.

ANYWHO - to that end - I still use Lexol cleaner and Lexol conditioner on mine. works very well and keeps the leather supple for the most part. The leather in my Pontiac G8 has always been on the tougher side from day one.
