small detail but worth looking at, i suppose. iirc the manual states that 40 mph is the magic number that the truck must have on the dash before it will work instead of 35 mph mentioned above.
I to have a 15 Platinum, and i'm experiencing the same problems. I have my radar detector on my rearview mirror (Blendmounts custom) bracket which has nothing to do with the Camera and Ford is telling me that, that effects my warranty and they will not repair.

You need to ask them how something attached to the mirror effects something that is attached to the windshield. Go in armed with the knowledge of how the system works and embarrass them. Sometimes that is what it takes to get things fixed.

The LKA camera is mounted in front of the mirror, and if you completely remove the mirror, it will still function as it has no ties to it. What is tied to the mirror is the drivers side mirror auto dim, there are light sensors on the front and back to detect lack of light in front, and light from behind to trigger the dimming.

The LKA uses a camera to detect the lines in the road and keep the truck centered. That ties into the steering rack, and BCM to control the dash alerts. (My Fusion and MKT would auto steer back to center, does the F150 do that?)

I would ask them if they are thinking that the weight of the RD is causing the camera mount to fail, at which point, if they say yes, would be the reason for not repairing under warranty, but they have the burden of proving it too.

Default LKA camera issue?

Hello All, first post as i am a new member. I thought i could add a little something. I own (bought used 3 weeks ago) a 2015 F150 EB 3.5L King Ranch with the LKA system. Mine is doing the exact same thing. I have played around with the FORScan software and my bluetooth OBD2. After you start truck the LKA is operating and if you can get up to speed (40mph or above) in less time than it auto shuts off due to some malfunction it works, button to turn on and off and everything! But then some error occurs. I looked at my DTC section on FORScan and i found this! COD
E U3000 - Control Module, additional fault symptom: - General Memory Failure. Module is the IPMA (Image Processing Module A). So... i go to that module while driving and reset the module, and my LKA system works for 30-60 secs.. then turns off again. So i'm assuming a faulty camera, or bad connection causing this general memory failure in the camera and needs replacing, or when they replace and all is well its due to either a new camera or just better connection with new part!?!?! Total guess. But an addition no less. Thanks ALL!

It could be something as simple as a reflash to the latest code that can fix that.

Yes, and if out of warranty, you have to pay for it, which they are more than happy to do for you when you are paying and Ford isn't. If under warranty though, then be prepared to beg and plead with them. LOL

Did you ever make any progress on this or find any sollutions. I'm having the exact same problem but my Ford Dealer wants to dig in and said it could take days to diagnose at $120 an hour.

I was going to try and do a calibration using ForScan in the next couple of weeks but wondered if that was maybe something you had already tried.

Default Tried, and nothing.

I am going in on the 10-6 to have seat belt recall done and I will ask them about any updates/flashing that can be done. Someone mentioned flashing the camera firmware could fix. But who k ow if they know what they are talking about. So far nothing has worked for me. Would come in handy for trips to florida!

Well good luck, I appreciate you getting back to me. Hopefully a reset fixes things but I think if the cameras is the problem they are like $215 New. I know there's a thread here somewhere of someone installing the whole system themselves and there's a link to the camera. Not sure what all that entails but I've also read it's like a $1300 fix at the dealer if that's the problem.

I would love to have the functionality, even if I wouldn't use it much just knowing it's a feature that isn't working properly drives me crazy.
