I feel your pain with dealing with dealers, My EB knocks like diesel at idle from the front of the engine and spark knocks under light throttle on 93 but the dealers refuses to look at it. I might do the VCT actuators out of pocket since it sounds like the phaser knocking, or ill just cross my fingers it blows up before this time next year when the warranty is up or ill just sell it at a huge loss i guess.
I had the tsb done for the IWE check valve and mine still grind once or twice a week so it doesn't seem like a very reliable fix. Not going to bother taking it in because the 4wd doesn't work since the IWE is so screwed up from grinding for months while trying to get them to look at it and they they refused to check the hub and iwe itself.

Just an update to this thread. I just handed over the keys...I'm no longer an owner of an F-150. It's a good day.
Thanks for all the feedback over the past few years (the good and the bad). For those that followed my posts, I hoped I helped some of you with your own issues.

No loyalty for me. I love my truck and have not had the issues some people have had, but let me tell you, my next truck will just be whatever truck I like best and that I know is reliable and well built. Again, I love my F150, but also wish I'd at least considered the Titan, because you can get a high-end Titan for the price of an XLT Ford and it has a much longer warranty.

No idea. We need to replace it but I’m not impressed with what’s available. I just test drove a Tundra and while it felt like a good truck, it seemed to lack some of what I had in my F-150 (good and bad). The Tundra not only is dated in the sense that it’s been in its current iteration for more than a decade but it feels dated too in the way it drives and its interior.
Theres a part of me that wants to buy into the idea that the issues I had with mine are not widespread and that the likelihood of a repeat offender is minuscule...but I’m not sure I can do it. My wife and I test drove all of them before we bought this one and there were reasons why we ultimately chose the F-150. Unfortunately, not much has changed in the market since then...it’s still the vehicle that matches what we are looking for the most. I’m going to buy my wife a new vehicle, take some time to watch how things are panning out for 2019 owners and then make a choice in a few months. I just don’t want to spend that kind of money and have no warranty support like this last one.

Grass isn't always greener on the other side. 17 Titan's had A LOT of issues with the 7 speed tranny. I mean, its on its 6th TSB.
18's were a little better, but Nissan still can't pinpoint all the issues with the 7 speed.
If you're even slightly considering a TITAN, you need to read over here first https://www.titantalk.com/forums/.
There are several of us in Nashville that has the issues.

It’s intresting to hear Dealer issues, I have dealt with some intresting issues, not with this one but my 13, after warranty had expired the leather started to come apart they were able to replace the cover under warranty, ( Ford of Kirkland). My son has a 16 Focus ST that we bought at Ford of Kirkland and the headlight tint on the drivers side was peeling, technically not a warranty item Ford considers it a body item. We took it into Fugate Ford in Enumclaw, closer to home and the were able to replace both headlight assembly’s under warranty, I digress on this but my point is where you take the vehicle reflects your experience. We should start a dealer thread positive and negative experiences.
