King Ranch... Why did you buy one?
I love the King Ranch seats. I always stumble at the up charge from a Lariat to the KR, but would really like one.
Looking for input from owners what made them choose the KR over other trims.
Does the KR maintain its price premium over a used Lariat? I am not sure and this adds to my reluctance to pull the trigger. I also would miss that sweet little 2.7.

While I don't have a KR, I have driven one and if I had found one vs the 502a I have now, I would buy one. The seats are very comfy, though require more maintenance to keep clean and last long. As far as resale, depends on where one lives. Around by me the value is no greater than a Lariat, maybe $1000 difference tops depending on the Lariat, even Limited and Plats are on par with Lariat around here.

There are some really sweet deals on higher trims ones around here, I missed out on a 2014 Limited for $38K last year just two days after I bought my 16 and wish I could have held off a bit before buying, but you know, rock and hard place. At $38K it was a good price and could have come down with some price games.

I saw the KR in a dealer I never would have gone to, but my wife loved it so there you go. I like everything about it, had it 2+ years and my next one will be a KR if they have them in 3 years. Interior is actually easier to keep clean, use good leather care products and it is a breeze. Mine is Ruby red with the caribou trim.

I love it, it is a pretty big up grade from my '13 XLT.

I was shopping for 2017's last November because of 0% financing to make way for the 2018's and I stumbled into this 2015 CPO King Ranch with all the features (Max tow, Leveling kit and cool wheels and tires, massaging seats, etc.) that had only 10K miles on it for 48K. Love at first sight:

Ordered my 18 KR last month and i'm waiting. I picked it because it had every option that I wanted in the truck, the 2 tone paint on the truck is perfect. Also, i love the interior. The KR emblem on the seats makes it look like a classy, high end vehicle. Seats are also amazingly comfortable. I live and work in city, but i dream of being in the country. I would love to retire to a ranch in Colorado or out west. (one day...) Till then, i want to see the KR logo to remind me of my dreams. Resale, i didn't buy the truck to sell it to someone else. I want the truck to last 10+ years and put a smile on my face every day for the next 10+ years. To me, it's the highest level trim that you can get that still looks like it is a work truck as well. When i see limited or platinum, to me, it says "please don't drive off road...i'm too pretty.." (yes, i know people use them to do a lot more towing/off roading/etc than i will ever do and they are super capable of doing all those things). It's just the impression that i get.
It's all personal taste. I fully loaded Lariat is pretty close to the KR pricing. So not like i could have saved $25K just stepping down.
All great trucks though.
