The basic differences are in what is included in the various trim packages, and the appearance of the seats. The cushions and leather quality are the same, although some say the stripe up the center of the Platinum seat is uncomfortable. Everything from an option standpoint that is available on a King Ranch is available on the Platinum. I still can't see why they Platinum is touted as the highest trim package, when it has nothing over the King Ranch, and the King Ranch looks so much more luxurious in detail. To me, the Platinum looks like a simple Lariat with different seats. Even the wheels are just... bleh.

Here is a picture of the type of tires that are on a couple of Platinum's that park in the same garage as I do.

Well..., I kinda cheated. I had to replace the drivers side rear bumper piece, my wife backed into a concrete bollard and scuffed it up, (don't ask... I had the 360 camera talk with her, but I don't guess it registered), and I already had the grill and black oval, so I had the shop go ahead and replace it.

Its not not all that difficult if you have the correct tools. You have to take off the radiator cover and air inlet for the filter box. Then also pop loose the fiberglass housings that are around the headlights. Once those are pulled away, you can access ALL of the grill bolts.

If you replace yhe oval, you have to remove and replace the black plastic piece that mounts behind the grill itself. And of course, remove and replace the front camera, if equipped. just be sure and order the correct grill if you have the front camera... they are different if with or w/o camera.

It it only took the shop about 3/4 of day, to do both...

Finally got around to installing the prize for TOTM K&N High Performance CAI and couldn't be happier. Between the throttle response and great deep roar I'm loving it.

I've had it about a month and just getting started on modifications and upgrades. I hope this truck performs as well as my 2013 Platinum EB. So far no issues of any kind.

I have only added a retrax pro at this point and trying to decide which coil-over leveling kit to go with (probably Bilstein 5100s - really want ICONs). BFG AT2s are also in my near future. I really like the look of the truck except the grille. Considering a limited OEM grille if I actually can find one.
