Usually the tires are different. I think most KingRanch have the Goodyear with Kevlar or at least mine does. I think the Platinums have lower profile sportier tire , not sure of the make. My KR rides good , I also have the longer wheelbase SuperCrew.

If you get a chance don't forget to vote for TOTM, I'm not asking you to vote for me just take a look and pick the one you like.
Just like to see more participation to keep the TOTM alive for the forum, also take a look at April's noms so far.
Thanks

The basic differences are in what is included in the various trim packages, and the appearance of the seats. The cushions and leather quality are the same, although some say the stripe up the center of the Platinum seat is uncomfortable. Everything from an option standpoint that is available on a King Ranch is available on the Platinum. I still can't see why they Platinum is touted as the highest trim package, when it has nothing over the King Ranch, and the King Ranch looks so much more luxurious in detail. To me, the Platinum looks like a simple Lariat with different seats. Even the wheels are just... bleh.

No, the tires are not different between the King Ranch and Platinum. They both have the same size tire, as well. The Limited has a different size tire all together - a 22" wheel.

All of the Platinum level trucks I have seen in my area have I think Hankook tires. They are still 20" but are definitely not Goodyear and they also look like a lower profile design. I park in a garage that has a least two Platinum's . If I get a chance I'll shoot a picture of a tire on one of them.
