Keyfob batteries
You've been doing it wrong. You put helium in the tires and your gas mileage goes way up! Try it, you'll like it.
I change batteries in ALL of my key fobs once a year no matter what. (And I have 3 trucks).
My dealership charges me no labor to do so, and the batteries are cheaper than anyone else.

I use one of these:
And installed these to prevent confusion:
I've been racking my brain as to when I've ever changed a fob battery on any vehicle. I think I've changed one, once. My 2010 Fusion Hybrid went 8 years with no changes, my 2013 F-150 is at almost 7 years with no changes. Changing fob batteries annually is simply throwing button cell batteries into the waste stream for no reason at all.

I changed a FOB battery in my girlfriends car when we dated. She has a 2015 civic (purchased December 2015), push button start. It was Probably 2017 when I changed the battery. That wasn't a long time on the battery, I was surprised it died so quickly.
I changed the batteries in my Lariat FOB December or January of 2019/2020. Vehicle was manufactured March 2016.
It's good to change batteries if it makes a person happy, with a 3-4 year life span though, a year seems a bit unnecessary. Cheap insurance of course.
Whatever money I paid for the batteries for the Lariat is probably going to be my total battery budget as I'll never change them again.
I don't know if F150's without the an Intelligent Key will alert owners of a low FOB battery -but at least in the Lariat I will be informed the battery is low before I experience intermittent failures.
The Civic also alerted the owner of a low FOB battery.

I had my last truck 8 years and I think I changed batteries in my key fob twice. About every 3-4 years. Even then, I wasn't getting a message, I just wanted to make sure remote start kept working at a reasonable range.
I recently replaced all my smoke detector batteries at home after one started chirping. They were 5 years old. The others were still testing fine.
