I went with a ebony leather with red contrast stitching. The center insert is the red barracuda perforated leather. And the wings are the suede skin. The picture of the backseat i have a carseat cover over one seat thats where my sons car seat goes. But that seat is identical to the drivers side. I know it looks like the red is really bright in the center but I think its just the lighting. I am happy the way it turned out kind of made my xlt feel a little more luxurious.

Thinking of adding Katzkins to my 16 XLT. I can find the leather on Amazon for less than $600 but the install looks to be involved, however all I can find is about $2000 installed from Katzkins dealers. Maybe one day.

That's what I plan on having installed in my 2018 XLT except for the suede wings. I thought the red barracuda would accent the ruby red exterior perfectly.

I got mine of ebay for 975 shipped the suede ans red perforated as well as the limited design added a little extra. Then a dealership charged me 400 for the install.

Mine is a ingot silver sport so i liked how it went with the interior. Plus my wife has a 18 silver explorer that has almost the same interior i made mine match hers. She has suede on the center section instead of the wings though.

On my last truck I bought Katzkins online for under $600 and then took them to a local family owned upholstery shop that installed the full set for $380. It came out perfect and they had it done in half a day. I was happy to pay to have that done.

I thought the same thing. I just did mine. I will post pics soon. However look for them on ebay.. I paid 550 +20 shipping. The ebay store is Auto Interior Decorators Inc.

Take your time on it. we are here if you have questions. So which center console do you have? The jump seat /center console or shift on the floor? To me the center console was the most challenging but doable.. Again its easy but tedious. I took my time and did it over the course of two weekends. That is because I had other things going and and buddies stopping over etc. But if you focus and have another car to commute with then I would take your time. You can do it in a weekend if you have help.
