Just Thinking, Is a Spray In Really Necessary?

Don't really see why people get the spray in liner for scratch resistance. You are basically destroying the factory finish anyway so whats the point? For a work truck I totally get it but for everything else I don't see the benefit over a mat. More slippery than most mats, less comfortable, often times more oooogly. That being said I'm a middle of the roader with mostly a grocery getter so I like my bedrug

I e-mailed Weathertech about the availability of a liner for a 5.5' bed, as its currently not available. Weathertech responded that the 5.5' liner will be available in approximately eight weeks from April 1st, so figure early July. The rep. said it is not compatible for spray in liners as the spray in alters the fit and the fastener system used to anchor the mat to the bed.
Bummer, as I wanted to put the Weathertech mat on top of my spray in liner to cut down on road spray and dust in my covered bed

Line-X Bedliner
When I bought my F-150 the dealer threw in the Line-X spray in liner as a bonus, along with the rubber floor mats. I had a 1999 Dodge Ram with the same liner in it and when I got rid of it, it still looked pretty good. Lots of fire wood & bricks were hauled in it!
