BTW I think the factory tint on it is pretty good, but I'll see how it does in the Texas summer before making a final call on whether to throw some extra Ceramic tint on it.
Option wise it's nearly impossible to add later (unlike, for example, the power running boards) so if you think you might want it, get it. The only disadvantage is with the shade/liner closed it does reduce headroom a bit - not so much in the front (I am 6'3 and don't have an issue) but tall backseat passengers might be a little close to it.

FB Discount
Is this a ford or FB discount? Do you have the program #? I tried looking up the discounts for a Dallas zip I could not find it (actually I cannot seem to locate all of the discount programs listed like I used to). I am in Florida and trying to figure out if it is available here.
Thanks,

I know there's a lot of folks on here looking for the best deal (just like I was for quite some time). I wanted to share a quick tip that I used to get an additional $1k off of my 2018.
If you're not familiar with it already, most state farm bureaus offer discounts across the Ford lineup. In TX, that discount is $1k. Now I'm no expert, but I know a good investment when I see one and for a $40 membership fee, you are eligible for a $1,000 stackable discount. Membership is open to everyone. Granted, you have to be a member for 30 days, but if you can cool your heels a bit while you're negotiating, it might be well worth it. It was for me!
Here's how to join in TX, for anyone interested: https://my.texasfarmbureau.org/membership/new
Just thought I'd share - hope it helps someone.

Keep in mind, it states that it cannot be used in conjunction with other private offers so if you have the Ford 'Private Cash' you have to choose one or the other.
Also, once Ford issues this Farm Bureau certificate, you'll be in their system and guess who'll have access through Smart Vincent to see it - oh yeah - bye bye deep discount unless you've cloaked your info that you give to the Dealer while negotiating.

Florida Farm Bureau
Doh! Thanks again TtoB, found the Florida info, it's currently $500 but if you don't have a current Private Cash offer it certainly helps.

So I just started looking for a new F150 on Saturday. Stumbled upon a new 2017 lariat that was marked down. MSRP before discounts is $61,025. I got an out the door offer for just over $51,000 with 0% financing for 48 months. Included $5000 dealer discount and $3500 rebates. I’m thinking I might pull the trigger but wondering if there’s any more room to negotiate. They didn’t seem to want to go lower while I was there but who knows. Any insight is appreciated. Doc fee would be $199. $$15 tax and $280 dmv fees. Thanks.

It is good that you included the window sticker, but we would need to see the written dealer quote to see if they are trying to pull anything funny, which unfortunately is common. Also, have you read this thread starting with post 3050 or so? It is a long read, but your wallet will thank you as getting the best deal takes doing some homework.

Per his quoted figures, $61,025 - $8,500 (total discounts)= $52,525.
I see he hails from GA in his profile and wait until they add the TAVT of $3,921.75 to his so-called OTD price which is not shown. He has $$15 Tax - what's that all about?
Time for a wake up call for sure! Nice truck for sure though. But I'm biased because I have Black w/Black on my XLT.

That's for sure because kyle7's numbers just don't jive.

And the MSRP is really $59,525! Don't fall for that $61,025 before discounts number!

So I posted a couple weeks ago about a 17 lariat I’m looking at locally (39532). It’s a SCREW lariat FX4. The dealer has had it about 8 months. I went to test drive it yesterday and I liked it. I wasn’t really wanting to buy yesterday but I told them I would buy if the price was right. I own my current vehicle and plan on selling privately. I figured I would get $13k selling privately (very realistic), but the dealer said they could probably give more than I’d get selling privately. I know they fudge numbers and all but figured what the hell, so I let them check it out. They offered me $13k. I was surprised, but still wasn’t interested in trading in.
I have attached the factory window sticker that shows MSRP $62,165, but there was a dealer sticker that has added “paint protection” and some other BS, bringing their. MSRP to $63,255. All the rebates/incentives totalled $5750, but they would only come down $4255 from their inflated $63255. $59k was as low as they would go on the truck. But then they started talking about my trade. And they offered me $14,500 on my trade. They were way more willing to offer me more than my car is worth than to come down more on the over priced truck. From my calculations, based off the blue box MSRP of $62165, minus $1295 dest, a 12% dealer discount would be $54,252 after adding back the dest fee. Then minus the rebates from there. Are those numbers correct? I only have access to my iPad so the spreadsheet doesn’t work, I’m trying to work from memory. So I realize 12% is hopeful, but the manager seemed offended that I walked away. I never mentioned 12% or what my target price was, just told him I thought it should come down more. He refused to let me take the paper with all the numbers written down and said maybe it was too much truck for me. Maybe he’s right, but the truck is only worth what someone is willing to pay, and for 8 months it’s not what they are asking. Can I get some advice on this? Am I too far off? Although I am not planning to trade, why were they more willing to offer more than the value of my car vs dropping the price of the truck? This is a smaller satellite dealership of a larger dealership thats closer to me. Would it be wrong to talk to another person at the larger dealership to try to work this deal? Thanks for the help!
