I can't remember anything about what paperwork came when but I received whatever was necessary in time to get it refinanced in well under two weeks. Does anyone else who refinanced right away care to chime in? I have followed this thread for a while and I can't remember anyone that posted that it took that long (a month or more) to get a new loan secured.
This is for NY:
I downloaded a two DMV forms - one to get duplicate title and remove lienholder (FORD) by including original payoff letter with $20 fee and copy of Driver's license.
The second form is to add a lienholder - DCU - which needed my signature and a $5 check. Because DCU had to stamp/sign the 2nd form, they offered to take care of the mailing of both documents free of any handling charge, other than including individual check fees made out to NY DMV, So, I just forwarded the paperwork to them to take care.
This is really a piece of cake and worth it for an hour of work. I guarantee the hourly rate will be much more than what an Attorney charges. In my case the FMC rebate was $1,250 - Cha Ching!

Yeah no worries Top, yeah I knew I didn't get a great deal, just an ok one. I actually did want spray in liner and tint eventually but yeah they already put the add ons so it inflated the price and made me feel like I got a discount , i had to twist the guys arm for 30 min for him to throw in the bed liner for "free" i got 2.3% for 60 months, best possible rates in my area, as I dont have much time away from work I couldn't find the time to go back to the credit union asap.
Yeah sorry forgot to mention my trade in, that heap of metal was on its last legs....lol.
Also Truecar sucks, the "true market value" for that exact build was 57k so I thought I was getting a really good price. I just hope my slight pain helps someone in the future, still happy about my purchase.
Yes I am loving my Lariat, can't take this smile off my face!

Thanks for that rate info.
DCU.org has a refinance rate of 2.24% @ 65 months (nice because it lowers the payment sightly over a 60 mo. term) if you set up a checking/savings account which gives you a debit card for access too. To get this rate you need to setup a direct deposit if your employer offers it. You can do a split direct deposit in case your wondering so it could be the exact amount of your truck payment. Otherwise, without the direct deposit it's 2.74% (65 mo.). Also you can do 3.24% @ 72 mo. term with DD and 3.74% (72mo.) without DD.
DCU was so accommodating and easy as pie to do all online. I did hit a small hiccup with the online confirmation of rates and got a call immediately of apology accompanied by a rate reduction to 2.74% @ 72 mo without DD for my tiny inconvenience. Their outstanding reviews were also a tipping point for me.
PenFed and NFCU also have similar rates but I'm not sure of the details.

For those who have taken this course of action I do have a question. How long does it take to get the title from Ford Credit so you can provide it to your bank/credit union on the loan? I was told that it can take 6-8 weeks to get the paperwork to refinance. Using my credit union calculator that extra interest runs ~$175-$200 per month (2.24% versus 7.9% of Ford).
So, in the end the $750 really becomes $350-$400. Nothing to sneeze at but I can see how some would forgo the hassle. Or am I missing something? I admit I have not refinanced a car/truck before so some or all of my assumptions might be completely wrong.....

I know this is not the best forum for asking about a raptor but I'm going to see if I can get a Supercab Base Raptor at sticker, anyone know of any good dealerships in the northeast. Would It be possible at sticker? I've seen some with a 15K + mark up? If I can't get for MSRP, I'll settle on a XLT Sport.

Can the pricing at Belzers Ford in MN. Be correct? $9000 off a 2018 Platinum. I get that their price includes the factory incentives, but taking those out of the equation they are $2,000 to $2,500 less than anyone in my neck of the woods.

Yup, just check your Zip Code to see if they match the ones they've deducted. They also subtracted $500 for First Responder (not sure why they do that unless you qualify which not many will - odd) so you'll need to add it back to your total. This gets you to YOUR true 'Unconditional Price'.

First time poster after reading this thread for a few months.
I PM'ed toptobottom asking if this method applied to F-250s and he said the general formula should work. I ended up purchasing a car with MSRP of $72,330.
The purchase price ended up being $64,360 (with delivery fee included) for a dealer discount of $7970 or the equivalent of an 11% dealer discount. On top of this I got the $2750 in incentives from FoMoCo for financing through them. I also got a $750 private offer from browsing the website so total was $3500 off the $64,360 for a total price of $60,830 before TTL.
This is in Southern California. I had to drive about 1.5 hrs from San Diego to the inland empire but wanted to share in case anyone is wondering if they can apply this to Super Duty trucks.
Thanks everyone for participating. I learned a lot and enjoying my new F-250 Lariat.

The only thing that others Buying in that area need to take into account is that although I urge you to try this as your Target percentage, doesn't mean you'll get the same. This deal was unique being it was a less popular selling truck and being that it moves a bit slower, the Dealer may have had specific reasons to move it out from their inventory. To remind everyone, this San Diego area had two previous deals averaging 9.5% about 2-3 months ago.
Thanks for sharing this!
Congrats and enjoy your new truck!
