Just tell us your under invoice price paid.

I assume all of you know that dealers get 3 invoices from the manufacturer? Do they show all 3 to you? If a dealer is selling "under invoice", how does he/she stay in business?

Dealer Invoice
The dealer invoice is the price the manufacturer bills the dealer for the vehicles they purchase, plus any options equipped. This is in essence the dealer's cost, and is not generally shared with the customer. All dealerships pay this same general price for a vehicle from the factory, and it does not include any of the individual fees that vary from dealer to dealer.
Factory Invoice
The factory invoice is the total cost to the dealer for a vehicle. This price is the sum of the base invoice or cost for the base model of the car, plus the cost of options, destination fees and manufacturer fees. What many dealerships won't tell you, however, is that this value does not take into account factory incentives that the manufacturer may give to encourage sales.

You can use kbb or carsdirect to build the vehicle you are looking at. When the MSRPs match up, you can look at the invoice number and it will match what the dealer has.
There are all sorts of hidden incentives for dealers to sell more trucks that you will not see on the invoice. There are other numbers that are listed after the initial invoice price that the dealer will try to guilt you into paying a little more. Regional ad fees, vehicle prep fee, etc. I always arm myself with the invoice price before I go in and don't let them confuse the issue with a printed invoice with lots of add ons and price plans.
Lets not let financing cloud the issue either. Think of it as going to the store and buying a washing machine. Some people pay cash, some people pay 18% for the rest of their lives for it on a credit card, some get interest free financing for a year. When somebody asks you what you paid for a washing machine, you tell them the sale price, not the cost of the money you used to buy it.
So in the interest of those of us that are thinking of ordering a 2015, keep those under invoice stories coming. It lets us know how low to shoot.

How are we to evaluate two identical deals at $500 under invoice when one buyer finances at 1.9% credit union rates and the other buyer does dealer financing at 5.0%? Or, one buyer pays $695 doc/admin fees vs another buyer's $95 fees? Point? What is paid 'under invoice' often has no bearing on the actual cost of the vehicle purchased.

You can have situations with multiple invoices when dealerships add padded items to the sticker to inflate the cost. This will generate a secondary invoice.
For example, if your dealership adds window tinting, helium tires, and any regional packages that may come from your regional distributor will have a separate invoice, usually generated by the dealership or region which will not match the factory invoice.

Keep in mind helium tires will reduce the weight of the truck and get you better gas mileage so they might be worth a little extra $.
