For XLTs if you get 12k off a highly optioned XLT u r doing good. Best seems to be 13k ish.... again highly optioned SCREW. They will fight and fight hard and you cannot get that deal on every XLT they have. I bought 2 months ago for $12k off after reading here, no Ford Financing (lost $500 not worth the hassle/won't play the game IMO). On XLT you aren't at a good deal with less than 20% off of MSRP. Use that as a baseline.
If you want a Lariat a few good deals, the Platinum/KR/Limited not as many around and certainly not as much $$ from Ford. I wasn't willing to spend that on a truck so I don't know exact $$ off.

Well, I'm going to go ahead and buy this truck instead of waiting around any longer. Headed in to make it all official this afternoon, should have the truck by Monday evening. I'm pretty excited to be joining the F-150 club.
So as it turns out, the $41274 was a typo and the real best price they could do is $41774.
I'm still going back and forth with them on the deal, if I don't buy this truck I will order a 2017 that will cost about $2000-2500 more and will have fewer luxury options. I don't really want all the fancy stuff this truck comes with, but it's hard to turn down what are basically free upgrades.
Here is where we stand now on the above truck:
$42,000+ttl this includes a Rhino BedLiner, and changing the tires for 275/70r18 BFG T/A KO2's. They will also give me the factory take offs, which I plan to turn around and sell.
Should I pull the trigger on this truck already and stop hemming and hawing? I would prefer to have the 3.73's instead of 3.55's, the 40/20/40 front seat, and I don't really want the navigation system. The bed step will also be somewhat impractical once I put a camper shell on the truck, but for all it's options, this particular vehicle has a 1925 pound payload rating, which is pretty darn good for a Lariat 501A.
Help!

"I see" said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw.
The best/lowest price technique can work with email/internet communication as some salesmen know they will never see you if they don't start reasonably low to begin with. If you go to their turf, they have a home court advantage that you can only balance with knowledge, information, technique and thinking fast on your feet.

I just went to a local dealer (an hour away) to look at one that had everything on it I wanted and even liked the color, bronze fire with camel int.
While test driving it I notice it had 390 miles on it and the oil change monitor showed 52%. Shocked I made the comment that this was a demo and the salesman said it was possible. The bed was scratched up but a LineX liner would cover that, probably cheaper for them than a repaint but this I don't really know.

They probably ended up with that truck on a dealer trade.

Cool! Sounds like the dealer needs to change the oil based on the 6 month time limit for oil life. I doubt many dealers with old stock change the oil when they are supposed to even though Ford could deny warranty coverage (not likely). I suppose the OLM isn't 100% accurate for counting days.
