Hi everyone. I used to be on here for the 04-08 Forum. I traded my 04 in on a 2014 Ram 1500 because of how cheap it was compared to Ford.... Well long story short, I am looking at the F-150s again.

I see that most of the deals posted have been on the higher trims (Lariat, Platinum, etc.) Anyone have any experience with the XLT SuperCab 4x4s? This will be my 1st new vehicle if I pull the trigger and I want to be armed when I walk into the dealership on the 30th. I'm still young (24) so I already know the salesman are going to try to take advantage of that thinking I'm young and dumb.

Here is what I am looking for:

2016 F-150
XLT SuperCab
4x4
2.7 EcoBoost
Ruby Red
302A
40/Consol/40 Seats

MSRP: $44,140

Has anyone done a deal with a truck similar to this?

Most xlt deals are 10k under msrp with some going to 11-12 under on higher msrp xlts.

Hello,
I just received this initial quote from a dealer outside of Atlanta. What do you think? Is 10K off MSRP do-able (25K before TTL)?

VIN if anyone could post the A/X plan pricing it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all, first time poster. Never a truck guy until I drove a Ram Big Horn a few months ago. Loved that truck but some things I couldn't get over which had me looking at the F150 now. I fell in love with the features you get on the Lariat, knowing you typically can't get much of this trim. So I am looking to purchase by the end of the year with the 2017 models coming out. Local dealer has a 2016 EB3.5 Screw 5.5ft bed 501A.

MSRP $54,500,
Your Price $49326,
Rebate -$2500
Internet Price - $46826

This actually doesn't seem like a bad price to me. About 15% off MSRP. Any more wiggle room?

I bought a truck with a similar MSRP and option package. I paid $44,600 and they installed a spray-in bedliner at no cost. So about $10K off MSRP. I'd think there's a good $2000-$2500 on the table yet.

Re: this truck:

Equipment group 701A
Technology Package
Adaptive Cruise Control
Tailgate Step
20" Polished Aluminum Rims
3.31 Rear Axel
7,000lbs GVWR Package
Twin Panel Moonroof
Pro trailer Backup Assist
trailer Tow Package
36 Gal Extended Range Fuel Tank.

Stated MSRP is $63,120.00
Stated Invoice is $58375.32
I investigated and, according to Truecar, Invoice is $57,780.

Their offer was
$57,375.32
- $5,500.00 for my Trade in

+$ 199.00 Tag & Title
+$1,301.86 Sales Tax
+$ 16.50 For something that I can't recall
$ 53,392.00
- $ 3,000.00 Incentives plus discount tag
$ 50,392.00

I wanted to add window tint on the front driver and passenger windows, spray in bedliner, and Weathertech Floormats, all of which added up to about $850 worth of stuff.

I agreed to $50,500 with the bedliner, floormats, and tint. I probably could have squeezed a few more bucks out of them but, it being a small town and everyone knowing one another, I didn't want to be too much of a dick about it.

I'll get a truck I'm thrilled with. it gets sent off for bedliner today, tint tomorrow, and I pick it up friday afternoon or saturday.

I concur on the DOC fee, around here I've never seen it listed for more than $150, it looks like some places use it for ADP (Additional Dealer Profit). I usually negotiate it out by settling on a bottom line number. I don't care how they line by line charge it if the amount due / financed is my price.

so this is how mine worked out-
2016 F150 XL 101A package -
Sticker price was $38505 ($39,755- $750 for XL mid discount and -$500 for XL discount CHRM or sport)

Dealer listed truck price at $37589

I got $3300 in instant Ford rebates, so the total price was $34,289

I got $5000 in trade for my 2004 Avalanche which had 138800 miles, rust holes in the rockers and rear quarters, and a very clean interior (I owed $5895 on it)- they offered me $4500, and I asked for $5000 just to make me feel better, they took it.

So the price was at $29, 289

Sales tax was $1841

$5.00 Title prep fee

$100.00 Registration Title fee

$179 Doc fee

$35.00 for state inspection sticker

contract price was $31,449

adding my $5895 due on trade came to $37,344

$3000 cash deposit brought the truck to $34,344 which is what I financed at 75 months, 4.3% interest, making my payments $523 / mo and I got them to throw in a tonneau cover (retail like $595) for free.

How did I do? It was my first time buying new, I got them to add $500 to my trade, they game me another $500 off the cost of the truck to make the financing numbers where I needed them, and they gave me a tonneau cover...
