We can't help you, if you don't help us!

Some or all of the information below is missing.

Review what you provided to see what information is missing from the list below. If you don't have certain info or documents listed here then be sure to tell us that too! It's best to copy/paste the following list into your 'Reply' and answer after each line item. Blue text would be helpful.

There is also a document requirement to have your deal reviewed accurately. You need to provide images or links to the Window Sticker or Dealer website listing for your truck. If you already have a quote, posting the quote sheet is better than you trying to type numbers out of order which may make no sense. You should ALWAYS request a Dealer provide a quote in a .pdf format document so you have proof of your pending numbers.

YOUR Zip Code (where the truck will be registered)
Did you go to the Dealer and deal directly with a Salesperson yet?
Are you planning to use the Ford Conditional Offer - Ford Credit Customer Cash if available to you?
Are you planning to trade-in?
Do you qualify for any additional incentives like Military, First Responder, College Graduate or Grad Student, etc.,?
Doc/Processing Fee - Dealer charge (You need to find this out and provide it one way or another)
Have you looked at other Dealer inventories so don't have to count on one Dealers quote?
Would consider a travel to get a better deal - maybe in another State?

Documents:

Window Sticker
Truck listing link on Dealer's website (not important if you gave a Window Sticker and don't want others to know where it is)
Price Quote Sheet (very helpful for us to see facts)(print - whiteout Dealer/Your Info - take picture and post image)

It can if you know how to work a big dealer, aged truck that you want, and you show up prepared to buy. Truck was current model year 2017 where just about hitting lot. After my test drive it had 48 miles half of which I drove to make sure it was okay. I would never buy a truck that is last one of prior year it is never a good deal!! 7/22 was my purchase date.

Details below.... Because I know it cannot happen

50,410 Blue box msrp

38,500 What I paid

Adds to that

$4,287.50 Taxes to the state
$150 doc fee
$289 state title and licenses fees.

$5250 Ford Rebate ($1,000 Ford aged inventory) All were labeled nicely by Ford so I knew each and everyone I looked at needed a home. They also met all of my requirements. It was Sport/FX4, 5.0, large tank, 3.55 gears, tailgate step.

Invoice at the time was $41,711 with $5250 in rebates

Hold back was little over $1500
My price was $2 shy of $1700 back of invoice/rebates/holdback

I know horrible deal and I didn't have a trade or take Ford Financing (another $500). If I was to buy another Ford after my buyback I bet I can repeat this deal in WA where I live. Dealer was 30 miles from my house. No e-mails no internet back and forth just go do the deal. Yet I cannot make it that easy!!

I drove to the dealer and did this deal in 1 hour and then another 2 hours between waiting and completing the finance paper work. Pre-approved from my CU and paperwork through CUDL and never stepped in my bank. I guess that be my proof.... Did you or TOP do better? Hmmm if so by how much? Where is the dealer in relationship to your house? Does that dealer go to bat against Ford and the Lock and Latch problem? Do they put you in a rental and all that prior to Ford approving? My Dealer has been nothing but first class and I do believe that is worth something as well.

The end and I am sorry I know nothing and there is only yours or tops way to get a great deal!! :-)~~~~~
Aahhh, saving the best for last.

I see somebody treated themselves to a 12 pack for the weekend.

Hear ye - hear ye, everybody planning on purchasing an XL or Lariat, Platinum, King Ranch and Limited Trims - fuggedaboutit! You have to buy an XLT so BadBoy's convoluted purchase strategy applies. Oh, and you have to buy it when it's 'aged' just like a good Roquefort or Gorgonzola. Damn, I almost forgot, you have to buy it at the Dealer just down the road from him. But wait, you're gonna have to tell them YOUR ZIP Code that you'll be registering your truck in, and surprise, that's $1,000 less than in WA. Now that amounts to roughly 2%, so I guess now it's just 10% from MSRP. What do you mean there is no $1,000 'aged inventory' rebate currently on the Smart Vincent print out! But, BadBoy got it so why can't I? Well, there goes another 2% savings off of MSRP! so, now I'm down to 8% but I thought I could get 12% for a good deal and over 13% for a great deal. So in the end, this doesn't work too well unless you live next door to BadBoy - your purchasing only an XLT - right in BadBoy's neighborhood on that one particular day in life.

Had you taken the time to read the thread, which of course you didn't, you'd see that I posted my deal and discussed it a few times.

Again, I'll post my numbers that have already been verified in this thread.

2017 XLT - 6/6/17 (NO 'aged' considerations)
$51,560 (Blue Box MSRP)
$39,228 Purchase Price including rebates

So BadBoy, who got the better deal? Seriously though, this is not about boasting them or to shove it in your face. Look at yours - then look at mine - and tell me what conclusion you've come to. I'll be waiting for your answer on this.

I see you UncleG! BTW UncleG, Thanks for your major contributions here to this thread in helping other Buyers save thousands of dollars. Make sure you don't wear off the letters on your keyboard posting here.

You can do all this math if you want, or you can just go here and buy this for 15 under sticker.

http://www.jeffbelzer.com/new/Ford/2...6999487de3.htm

True msrp of 51,030. Sale at 36,199 with a 100 doc fee and you're on the road.

(And this is just one example I grabbed)

Purchased my first truck today... 2018 F150 XLT SCREW 4x4 Magnetic with Max Tow Package. I cannot thank this forum enough - especially toptobottom. The spreadsheet was excellent! I am located in PA and emailed 4 dealers within a 150 mile radius that had the exact truck I was looking for; apparently getting an XLT SCREW in Magnetic with max tow, a console, and navigation (without going to a Sport) is hard to come by this time of year in my area. Nonetheless, I had 2 dealers come in around 7-8% using Top's spreadsheet, 1 dealer coming in around 9.5% in MD, and another dealer come in around 10.5%. In years past when I negotiated cars, I never had a dealer not come down on their price after their first offer. However, I found that dealers were not really budging, but the 10.5% intrigued me so I started working with them. Incentives seemed good this month too, so I got more serious as the month went on. So, all in all, here's where I came out:

Blue Box MSRP: $50,980
Dealer Discount: $5,471
Rebates: $5,750
Tax: $2,386
Processing Fee: $141
PA Tags/Title/etc.: $214
Grand Total: $42,500

According to the spreadsheet, I came in around 10.73% dealer discount when factoring in the $141 dealer processing fee.

I'm pleased. I guess I could've waited a little, but then risk only finding trucks with more options than I need (higher price), or not the right color, or rebates go down a little. I don't know, it felt right so I went for it.

Their prices rock!

But, it's only assuming you have the same Rebates AND qualify for that $500 1st Responder they've added.

How awesome! I'm really glad it worked out for you and the Dealer came through after reviewing that deal with you.

I agree with you pulling the trigger at that point being the number was good with you. Going the extra distance for a few dollars more on a rare preference could risk losing it in the end and then your deal turns into a 0% discount.

I wish you many happy miles with yours!

I wish they weren't in Minnesota.

The 36,199 is the price anyone can walk in and pay. I've done it. Referred several people who have also done it.

It could get cheaper as the "as low as" price.

But again, just providing the info.

I know, I wish they were down the road from me with an 'aged inventory' XLT having an exclusive $1,000 rebate.

So you're saying that they gave you the 1st Responder $500 without verification or did you qualify for that conditional offer? Supposedly Ford is pretty strict about the Dealer having documented proof.

I too have encouraged members to buy there and they too got outrageous deals from them.
