Sorry didn't have time to read 500 pages, I did do internet emails and pricing came in higher than when I walked in the door. sorry, was just wondering what others were paying on a lariat
Edit, perhaps someone could direct me to the post with the formula that seams to work best and or what the procedure is... then I or someone could ask a mod to place it, or a link to it in post 1 so others can be lazy like me
Thanks

I've decided to order a 2018 Lariat. My dealer told me the current incentives run through 04.02.2018. I understand none of you have a crystal ball, but historically speaking, do the incentives only get better as the year goes on? I've been told an ordered truck takes 6-8 weeks for delivery and I will get the better of either the incentives offered at delivery or at time of ordering. I'd ultimately like to be driving my truck no later than late April. I'm trying to decide if it would be in my best interest to wait another month before I order so I could take advantage of better incentives in April.
Right now with the Incentives sitting at $1,500 for Lariat's, it would be unlikely to see that go down. So, I would bet that they go up for the Spring Sales push after 4/2 when the current Programs expire. I would order Feb. 26th.

It is all timing, a friend of mine just got a great deal from a dealer I couldnt even get to respond to me. I swore they didn't want to sell trucks even. I contacted them 3 times telling them I wanted to buy this truck. No price or anything, just a "hey, i'm buying a truck and I like this one, can I talk to someone type contact and still no response. and after 3 attempts and someone finally called me back days later took the information and vin number I was looking at they never got back to me again. I didn't much care because i bought a truck somewhere else a day or 2 later anyway.
But this friend of mine goes there and did almost as good as I did on my '17 on a brand new very similarly optioned '18 right around Christmas. Same color, same XLT with 302a. He did get the offroad and I got a sunroof. He didn't even do much. They returned his call right away, he told them he had already agreed to a price at a different dealership and bam, they hit him with a price 2K better without even knowing what it was right out of the gate. He went in and they ended up doing a bed liner and mats too. I couldn't get a response and he got around 10% dealer discount on an '18 in an area I was struggling to get above 7.9 on a '17.
Just keep looking, and as they say, timing is everything.

So almost ready to pull a trigger and apologize for not reading to far into this thread (spent all day going to dealers)
18 lariat - sticker 63,755
price before tax title/ ford rebates and coupon is 58298.
2500 with rebate and (4) coupons puts it 55798 before tax & fees... appears to be 12.5% off msrp... oh, I'm in Chicago
Is this a good deal? thanks

You don't provide an actual quote and I don't go by percentage off MSRP. Based on the numbers that you're giving, along with your self-admission of being lazy and not wanting to read the thread to learn how to maximize any further potential savings, I'm going to be lazy as well and tell you to go ahead - go for it!

Aside all of the numbers and strategy that we throw against the wall here to arm ourselves, we are constantly dealing with unknown variables such as Truck sales numbers at a given time, Ford to Dealer hidden Incentive programs, time of the year and so on. Timing is a key element when one is chasing the ultimate Dealer discount.
In the example above, it seems that the holiday - end of year sales event coupled with the likelihood that particular Dealer also needed a sales quota number to reach before end of year, the Buyer was in the right place at the right time. We actually didn't hear of others verifying outrageous deals because this thread was not screaming with a bunch of YAHOO - check out what I got this truck for.
To introduce the element of timing into your purchase plan, I have said in the past that PATIENCE is an important part of the buying process. If you have time to plan your purchase in advance, and I know some don't because of the matter of urgency in needing a truck, those who can, will have better odds of falling into a timing situation. Someone shopping for 3-4 months, not making headway, could find a Dealer that will knock it out of the park tomorrow.

I think I'll quote this in my signature instead. I hear ya!
No such thing as free lunch from me - sorry - old school. Not matter how the mindset is of today, you get out of life what you put into it. That will never change. That's why so many fail to benefit these days in things they set out to do.
I say page 300 hundred to round off, but also as a primer to what was being posted before I chimed in with reasoning why the thread was 300 pages of train wrecks. I'm not going to put a specific post in my signature because nobody reads anyway - you should see how many PNA requests I get without an email address included. If I did, I know that's all they'll read, then come back to post a gazillion questions. I sure as hell am not going to repeat myself.
From here on in, it's play or pay - Very simple!

sorry to beat an old horse i'm still trying to load all the rounds in the chamber before i pull the trigger.
my zip code being 90031 gives me these incentives as of now
if i were to opt for a fully loaded 5.0 4x4 xlt sport fx4
i would qualify for the following PGM
13152
13158
13166
97598
97596
97594
would i be correct in assuming i qualify for these?
also i see there is a ford credit for $750 also but im assuming that it will give me a higher apr. If i were to qualify for these offer what is a realistic apr i could hold out for if my credit rating is around 830.
