Not seeing what you're deal actually consisted of regarding numbers breakdown, I would advise that StretchRcr call Customer Relations to clarify if his Private Cash Offer can be used toward an 'order vehicle' vs an 'In Stock' vehicle and whether a Dealer can 'lock' this offer beyond a 'taking delivery by' 1/8/18 expiration date. Numerous past comments have affirmed that Ford is strict with all of their Incentive rules, even after others have tried calling and were rejected in asking for a new issue of an unused Private Cash offer.

Nothing says a Dealer can't go ahead and honor the $750 at any time or under any circumstance by merely incorporating it into their own Dealer discount number if it otherwise meant they could lose a sale. They could do this without the Buyers knowledge and would obviously not present it for re-imbursement by Ford.

There are no $500 Ford Loyalty Programs for your area. Again, you could double check with Customer relations as they will look up ALL incentives available to you at this time.

Why don't you just get a truck with a 3.5L EcoBoost? The MSRP would be higher and you'd lose the $300 2.7L rebate. but you'd get to use the $750 Private Cash as a partial offset instead.

Don't let any Dealer find out you have that Private Cash offer until after you negotiate your lowest price with them.

All valid points and good call on having him verify. I did the legwork for my deal, making sure they could lock it in with the applicable program #'s. My private cash was valid and able to be used past the expiration date - even on an ordered vehicle - as were able to "lock" it in. Being that was in April of 2016, things could have changed with regards to this.

Just got a $1000 private cash offer in the mail today via a requested F-150 brochure. Good for F-150 or super duty. ...not that it does me any good since I bought a new 2017 last month.

Same here. Mine says good until 1/8/18 on 2017 or 2018 F150 (not Raptor) or Super Duty. $750 on most other Ford vehicles.

Fine print mentions "customer ID" would be needed that the dealer must input into the Vincent system. I haven't requested a brochure since March or so; I bought my F150 new this past April.

Any buyers presented by the dealer with inventory tax? TX dealer added it to quote... should I pay that?? Note that this IS NOT sales tax, or anything relating to title/registration/licensing as far as I can find out.

You have to pay it because they automatically put it on the Sales Agreement. That's why you have to factor it out along with your Doc Fee while setting a Target Dealer discount percentage. Two can play the game - that's all!

I agree that the final price is what I should set my eyes on, but for all the low-price dangles, it makes me recalibrate what I should be expecting = that is to look at a lower price; only to get nickled-and-dimed with added charges that seem to pop up like the tribbles (any trekkies out there?). Suddenly, the fantastic deal went back up to a so-so deal.

ObviouslyI found this article after posting...
https://consumerist.com/2008/03/08/i...inventory-tax/

It is a 2008 article... not sure if it is still relevant to today's rulings.

Nobody here can tell you if this is a good deal or not because you have a trade-in that muddies your quote beyond our capabilities. Even without the trade, the truck is not sold in volumes like the F150 and probably gets treated much different by Ford and Dealers as far as pricing goes. It's like comparing apples to pumpkins.

I am in Kansas City and worked 15 dealers in the metro for about 2 weeks to get this price.

Finally took delivery of my truck yesterday. Things didn't go as smooth as I hoped, but I did end up with the truck I wanted at the the price I wanted. The truck was delivered last week but was scratched during transport, so it was in the body shop until yesterday. The day before pickup I received a text from the salesperson who was working my deal letting me know she had been terminated from the dealership. I was assigned a new salesperson, who had no background on the deal we had agreed to. When I got to the dealer, they tried going back on their deal telling me they "dont know how the previous person came up with these numbers" They told me they would be loosing 1300$ on my deal. I told them, if they did not honor the deal we agreed to when i placed my order I would let them keep the truck and walk. They discussed with the manager for a few minutes and came back out letting me know they were going to take the loss on the truck and sell it to me for our agreed price. Whether or not they are actually taking a loss, I dont know. But I got my truck and thats what mattered to me.

Final Numbers:
MSRP: 61,925
Price: 54,500
Rebates: 500 (custom cash), 750 (ford financing), 750 (private cash offer)
Final Price 52,500$
Admin Fee 199$

Thanks to all who posted on this thread, reading it was very helpful in my negotiations.
