That sounds pretty good---amazing even. Could you post the sales sheet so others can benefit from the breakdown? Eager to see it.

That would be a neat trick to pay no freight. Never heard of that one before. There is a freight charge on every F150.

I am looking at a new '16 Lariat with an MSRP of around $56,000 and a quoted selling price of $44k. Is this an appropriate discount for a leftover 2016? Kind of hard to find similar vehicles to compare it to.

Also, are there any pitfalls to buying a leftover?
You don't provide enough information. Since there is no more access to what the rebates are for a 2016, what we really need is a quote sheet breadown. I hope they provided you one!

Yeah, this one's 2 years old! How long do you plan on keeping it?

I would quote him and respond with - " Oh, but there is because your deal is scaring me away from you as it's not competitive with some of the bigger players around you! "

Toptobottom, I have read most of this thread starting at page 300 (thanks for all the information, by the way!), and my impression is that the DC Metro area sucks for getting a deal. Is ~invoice the best I'm going to do for ordering a 2018 here? I'm trying to get a fully-loaded Platinum with a 6.5' bed (the longer bed seems much harder to find), and ordering seems to be my only recourse.
I agree! There's enough info in all of those posts to teach a naive novice how to deal with a Dealer to purchase a truck while saving hundreds of dollars.

You should really try to deal with Koons in Baltimore somehow because they are a powerhouse Dealer. Those Dealers Fees in VA are just sick and should be renamed as 'Extortion Fee'. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of buying one there. I would even send each one an email to let them know that you're having to shop for your new truck out-of-state because of their high Doc Fee. Who knows, you may get one of them to work with you that way.

Funny you make mention of Norris Ford because I may be pressing them for a great deal on a 2017 Ford Escape for my Sister-in-law in a couple of weeks because they have 4 of the exact same ones in white. That should give me alot of leverage.

Zip: 27516
Window Sticker:http://www.windowsticker.forddirect....EW1EG9HKE32828
Private Cash Offer: $750, dealer not aware
Stepped inside dealership: No
Financing: undecided, likely trade in, take largest rebate ($5500) and refi with my credit union
Have you looked at other Dealer inventories so don't have to count on one Dealers quote? Yes
Would consider a travel to get a better deal - maybe in another State? Not out of state

The first issue with the quote is that the MSRP does not deduct the package discountsI know that it should theoretically be $53,930; what language do I use to push back on this?

Thanks!
If this is at Capitol Ford in Hillsborough, good luck. They wouldn't budge from a little over 9% off MSRP for me.

It would really help members here if you posted a copy of your Window Sticker and the Sales Agreement. Also knowing where this was could help other Buyers in that area.

I am not having much luck in the DC Metro area either on a 2017 or ordering a 2018. The most I am able to get is about a 9% dealer discount and they act like they are doing me a favor even responding.

I've reached all the way out to a couple hundred miles and one dealer with a 2018 tried to tell me that they have the only one of this particular 2018 in a 300 mile radius so they were selling at MSRP. I kindly sent them a link to a near identical one going for a 9% dealer discount and wished them luck selling at MSRP.

Bench and "Bucket" seats are the same driver and passenger seats. Ford just swaps out the center 20% seat for a 20% console. Can't comment about the differences between seat cushions between the different trims. Though an XLT with the buckets will have the same two 40% outer seats as an XLT with a bench. It is modular to keep price down. Maybe you just don't have your seat adjusted to your comfort?

Good to know. I've got emails out to your dealer as well, the problem there is I already went in there a month or so ago on a whim as I had never actually driven this generation of F150; wondering how negatively that will impact me, if at all.
