Anyone tried working numbers on a 2018 yet? They are showing up on lots here in small quantities. I had a line on one with an advertised approximately 9% discount I was going to go after but it has a 23 gallon fuel tank which is a deal breaker. It seems I can build one with all of the options I want slightly cheaper than I can find them on the lots so that is a consideration too. What kind of discounts do they give on orders? I've always thought buying off the lot was best but perhaps less overhead could yield good discounts too.

Im looking at a 17 Screw XLT 302a
MSRP of: 46,900.00
Minus Delivery Charge: 1,295.00
Net: 45,605.00
12% DD: 5472.60
Net: 40132.40
Rebates: 5250.00
Sales Price: 34882.40
Plus FL Tax (7%) 2441.74
Total= 37323.74
Am I correct to assume this is a fair price?
This is a truck made in March 2017 and delivered then, so it's been sitting.
Should I offer less? What else can I use to drop the price now that 18s are on the lot?
THanks.

I also found a similar 17 Screw XLT 302A
MSRP: 44,550.00
Minus DC: 1,295.00
Net: 43,255.00

Rebates: 5250.00
Sales Price: 32814.40

Again, should I offer lower due to it being a 17 with 18s on the lot already?

I am asking hypothetically here, as in what to shoot for according to what I have been reading in this thread. I want to be prepared before I hit the dealers today and tomorrow.
Different dealers.

Same Doc Fee at both then?
I don't know what to suggest because nobody buying trucks in FL here has been able to do better than 9-10%. You're going into the Guiness Book of Records with these kind of offers. It may be a sign that Dealers are doing a major push for this upcoming Labor Day. Ford may have promised them an extra bone if they reach certain volumes. It could be a great sign that great Deals will happen this weekend for Buyers.
Factoring out the $600 Doc fee on the first one gives you a clean 10.7% discount. Try going another 1% or $450 more.
