Very interesting that this NJ Dealer had your truck in inventory for 1.5 years before finally selling it to you. I'd love to know how many offers they got and kept turning them down because they didn't want to lower their Dealer discount. I swear the NJ Dealers bite off their nose to spite their face. They just wound up paying interest on this truck for 15 months rather than giving a potential Buyer a reasonable 10-11% Dealer discount.

I'll be interested to see the numbers on this when you get that document posted.

I heard good things about Kanata Ford, which seems to be the nearest Ottawa dealership from your place. If you like to hunt/fish, Kanata Ford is giving a 1000$ Cabela's gift card right now with every F150 purchase.

I don't recommend on making offers over the phone - I'd really go there and negotiate the price with the salesman. When they feel that they're close to ''closing the deal'', they often change their minds. For my case, they refused to lower the price at first so I left, but they called back the next day and asked me to come back. It was the last day of the month so my guess is that they needed to reach their quotas. Anyways, they accepted my offer + they threw in free rubber floor mats, a few oil changes and they knocked 50% off a Ford ESP (extended warranty).

All this to say that there is always room to negotiate, even during Ford Employee Pricing.

My problem is alot of dealers don't have what I want locally. So they have to swap and I guess they don't want to do that. Plus they are all over the place with trades/just ignoring my inquiries. Still looking but has been 2 months now....

I hear you. Keep on trying! There were only 3 left in QC / ON based on my criterias when we checked in the system. The dealer found one and they have to travel 150kms. I've been waiting for 3 weeks now, but the dealer FINALLY called me this PM - they will have it tomorrow.

What are you looking for? I mean, what model/options? I heard there were still a lot left in GTA (Toronto). It's close to your place.

I am looking for a Silver, Lightning Blue or White (last resort) XLT sport, 302 package with tow mirrors, rear step, and max tow if I can. Not sure if max tow is worth it. Would like 20's and the 6.5 box.

Joe Cooper Ford

He has several throughout the state I believe. Really enjoyed working with those guys as we had up front and candid conversations with zero gamesmanship which was refreshing.

I'm sure they will be able to help you. Their inventory search system is a lot better than what you see on Ford.ca ... Worst case, if they find one that meets your criteria and it's too far for them to go pick it up, you can always drive there by yourself... They will lose a sale, but it's their fault.

Max tow package adds 1000lbs of towing capacity I believe. Wasn't worth it for me.

Let me know if you find one, I'm curious!

Good luck.

This is a Dealer AD I received by email and just verified on Ford.com. Ford has upped the Military & First Responders offer to $1,000 until 9/5/2017. It's good for 2017-18 trucks. Hope this helps some of you. You deserve this guys for the Service you provide for all of us in the USA - Thank You!!!

Default What is a fair price

I'm looking at this truck. The dealer has quoted $45,750 no doc fees plus tax and tag. Is this a good deal?

Short answer. No.

Long answer: we need more information.

I'm getting a funny feeling you haven't read hardly any of this thread. If you go to page 300 you'll find a ton of examples and be able to calculate your Dealer discount to determine where your deal stands as of now. I'm assuming this because you haven't provided us with any of your own calculations nor key information we would need to give an opinion.

So,

We can't help you, if you don't help us!

Some or all of the information below is missing.

Review what you provided to see what information is missing from the list below. If you don't have certain info or documents listed here then be sure to tell us that too! It's best to copy/paste the following list into your 'Reply' and answer after each line item. Blue text would be helpful.

There is also a document requirement to have your deal reviewed accurately. You need to provide images or links to the Window Sticker or Dealer website listing for your truck. If you already have a quote, posting the quote sheet is better than you trying to type numbers out of order which may make no sense. You should ALWAYS request a Dealer provide a quote in a .pdf format document so you have proof of your pending numbers.

YOUR Zip Code (where the truck will be registered)
Did you go to the Dealer and deal directly with a Salesperson yet?
Are you planning to use the Ford Conditional Offer - $1,250 Ford Credit Customer Cash if available to you?
Are you planning to trade-in?
Do you qualify for any additional incentives like Military, First Responder, College Graduate or Grad Student, etc.,?
Doc/Processing Fee - Dealer charge (You need to find this out and provide it one way or another)DONE
Have you looked at other Dealer inventories so don't have to count on one Dealers quote?
Would consider a travel to get a better deal - maybe in another State?

Documents:

Window Sticker (a must)DONE
Truck listing link on Dealer's website (not important if you gave a Window Sticker and don't want others to know where it is)
Price Quote Sheet (very helpful for us to see facts)(print - whiteout Dealer/Your Info - take picture and post image)
