I think they are all too expensive lol... between the dollar and just inflating the price I just can't be bothered. Best I have found is a truck that stickers for $60500 ( 302A crew cab XLT sport with double moonroof, nav, trailer package, 20's 3.5/10 speed). Discounts and rebates bring the before taxes price to $46495..... or $49800 OTD. I made a counter offer and they said take it or leave it..... well I can leave it. At least this dealership didn't tell me "f" off over $2000 like the last one lol. I liked my 30% plus discounts..... don't think I will see that anytime soon. Not to mention $60K for a truck with cloth seats.... yeah no thanks.

54,300 (includes dest and del fee of 1295) ridiculous
- 2500 Ford rebates
51,800 MSRP blue value on sticker

I ended up almost paying 38,000 OTD but wife wanted to add the tire and wheel protection and electrical for an additional $2,500. Should have not let her talk me into it.
(Finance Officer money)

Sale price $46,861.50
- $5250 Ford rebates
-$4,500 trade in which I was happy with the $4000 quote from Chevy dealership too. Lemon vehicle.
Cash Price $37,111.50
$59 electronic filing fee
$2,500 insurance wife wanted
$699 documentary fee (bogus and they wouldn't budge)
40,544.00 amount financed.
Went to Credit Union today and spoke with a friend who said wait a week before refinancing. Save more money there.

I got pissed off and walked out on negotiations when they wanted to use the 54,000 number for MSRP. Told the manager to keep it. Looked at Silverado and they were about $3000 away from the Ford and Ford was better optioned. Salesman called 3 times while at Chevy dealership. Went back to Ford they went to 38,000 OTD and threw in the Line X.

How did I do? 28364 zip code.
I hate to say this but you didn't do so well on the Dealer discount because I had to subtract $600 of that high Doc fee to bring it down to a reasonable average fee so that left you with a meager 8.6% Dealer discount. THEN, it all went to down hill from there when your Wife went and bit on that $2,500 whatever the hell that is, has to be a Premium warranty. Whose side is your Wife on? Are you sure she's not sleeping with the Finance Guy?

BTW, who's paying for your truck? If you are, then you should've asked the Finance Guru how much that added in monthly payments, including additional interest and divided by the loan term. After hearing the number, you could've turned to the Wife and say "OK, so that's the amount you have to come up with each month! Wife's response, "Oh, I don't think we really need that then." If you knew she's like that, then you should've gone solo into the Finance office.

When I bought my Daughters car, I told her not to seem excited while at the Dealership and when we went to see the Finance Guru, I told her that when I look at you and ask "Can you afford that? - just say 'NO' each time. When we got into his office, I immediately told the Finance Guru it was basically her car. He then started with - we can do full extended coverage for blah, blah - looked at her "Can you afford that?" - got a 'NO WAY' for each & every sales pitch. I'm so proud of her. As soon as we walked out the door, she asked, "How'd I do and started laughing!" I believe the Finance Guru heard it!

Brought my Wife in for my truck and I told her, remember, this Guru is going to have a list of overpriced warranty and add-ons to sell us, but I didn't have to tell her to say 'NO' because she said wait 'til he tries pulling any of that crap! She already is used to this and knows the game we always play.

When the poor Guru started with the Extended Warranty coverage - all hell broke loose because she gave him a piece of advice we won't mention here. Afterward, he said "I normally would go over some of these other great offers but I'll just leave this Dealer offering sheet for you here on the table in case you may be interested. My Wife told him not to bother because it's just going to take up important space for signing all the other important paperwork! Now, that's someone you want sitting next to you!!! We're the family that's a Dealer's worst nightmare from beginning to end.

My Wife and Daughter are for rent to bring to the Dealership for support. $100 + Travel/Meal expense. jk

Your prices in Canada are outrageous! But, you do have FREE Healthcare and Molsen. The Molsen comes in handy when you see the price of an XLT, and the fact that you have FREE Healthcare.

That truck here would probably have an MSRP of $54-55K. My XLT 4X4 has the 2.7L with FX4 Off-Road, Twin Pano Roof, NAV, Tailgate Step, 36 Gal. tank, All Weather mats, LED mirror sidelight illumination, Tow package, Integrated Trailer Brake & Sync Connect and it's MSRP - $51,560.

Talking delivery tomorrow on a caribiou 2017 XLT 5.0, 302a, moon roof, nav, spray in liner, 36gal, 50,750 msrp. 44,700 out the door. Ill do the math later but I think is around 7.8% dealer discount. Nothing great there but I searched the country for this truck and it was very difficult to find. I'd be more upset to lose the truck I want than the extra 700 I might have been able to squeeze out. Plus they're delivering the car 200 miles for 150 bucks. A thousand thank yous to Top for all the guidance. I would've paid even more for less without his selfless help. We're still going shooting buddy, I'm driving, and steaks are on me.

Whoa! Good move! Sounds like an awesome truck color combo that you don't really ever see - a distinctive one-of-a-kind. It's got good options too! I don't blame you going for it because you've been lookin' and the others are just soooo much more in the Lariat Trim that at the 7.8% it's still a savings. In certain circumstances like this where you have to deal with a Dealer getting your truck from another Dealer, you're just not going to get a deal of deals and ESPECIALLY with these Northeast Dealers where I couldn't get them past 8.8% for an 'In Stock' forcing me to go to MD to buy.

Congrats! Can't wait to see it!!!!

Hi everyone. I have been lurking here for a while learning a lot! I am working on a deal for a 2017 XLT Crew Cab 5.0 6.5 ft bed 302a trim. The salesman gave me the following quote as a first offer. It seems pretty good to me, I am wondering what else I may be able to get from them.
MSRP: $49,850
Dealer price $42,735 PLUS:
Freight: 1295
Processing 599
Tags: 380
Minus ford rebates
What do you guys think?
Thanks

At least in here in southern CA, rebates on XLT's are like $5250 and the difference between MSRP and invoice are much greater on the XLT that I think you could do much better. My guess is the invoice on your rig is close to 46k minus dealer holdback (1500) minus rebates 5250= $39250 is where I think you could be.

Can't think anything.

You have a MSRP #, but then you show freight so something is wrong right there. Is this their web listing #'s that they're regurgitating?

You haven't included your Zip Code. Basically, you are not providing enough information. Links to websites - window sticker - quote sheet.

Numbers are wrong! Your OTD figure is only ~$4K less than that MSRP (wherever that's derived from on the Window Sticker) so something sounds really bad with this deal, especially since you have that additional $750 Ford Private Cash offer.

Same as poster above I NEED - documents - details - screenshots - website links - window stickers - doc fee (you need to know this)
