I am in at much lower prices, dividends have increased since I bought them. Take a look at dividend history - they bump them up a few percent every year.
Thanks. Just to bust on you a bit, they are yielding 3.5-4.46, not 5%. You can't do the calc on what you paid, it is meaningless given you could take that money and invest it somewhere else. For example, I own a bit of Apple that I bought way back. After the 2:1 and then 7:1 splits, it is yielding 1.59% based on today's current price...but using my cost it would be yielding over 300% . That is, it returns as a dividend yearly over 3 times what I paid for the stock.

Thanks again, I will take a look at them.

Yes I thought so. Plus they gave me $1500 more then JBB average price for our trade in.

I could have saved another $600 or so for a 2016 but they didn't have any sport packages left just chrome packages.

2017 XL Screw, 2.7EB 4x4 - STX package, 101A, hitch, wheel/bed liner, tonneau, mats, heated seats - OTD $39200.
Haven't finalized the deal yet.....
Have signed up for Ford Credit for $1000 discount but will pay off when truck arrives.

- UPDATE -

After further research I decided that this wasn't a good deal so pulled out of it. Went to another dealer and found the truck I wanted on their lot. No games/confusion/multiple people to talk to etc
2017 XL 2.7 4x4 Crewcab (Lithium) with STX, 101A, tow hitch, soft tonneau, spray in liner, mats, destination charge, doc fees - $33925.

Seems kind of high for an XL, even if it is an STX. I've seen similar XLT trucks with a 302 pkg for about the same price.

XLT 300 Link $34K
XLT 301 Link $37K
XLT 302 Link $39k

These are not OTD, but all non-heavily incentivized, and negotiations haven't even started.

You may want an STX specifically though.

Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing and/or documentation fees, and destination charges.

That crap with the destination charge kills me. It is a part of the MSRP/window sticker, don't go playing games that must add 1300 to the listed price.

Hello all,

I'm wondering what some of you guys who have recently purchased leftover 2016's, have given for you trucks?

I'm looking at a '16 Platinum SCrew, 2WD, 5.0 V-8, Blue Jeans, Brunello Interior (a big plus for me), 3.31 E-Locker (I'd prefer 3.55, but oh well), Pano Sunroof, 36 Gallon Tank, Trailer Backup Assist, 701A.

Sticker is $58,640 after the Platinum Lux Discount from Ford.

The dealer has a conditional offer of $51,116. That requires financing with Ford credit. I was planning on finacing with my Credit Union as they gave me a lower rate on our last family vehicle purchase than Ford Credit gave me on my '16 Lariat (4.19% vs. 3.09%) and my CU will go 84 months, while Ford would only do 72 on an F-150.

The point of this drawn out post is, should I take the $51,116 (assuming they'll do it with my CU, or Ford will match their rate) or should I push for more discount?

The truck has a build date of 4/16, so its been there a while. It's a 2WD, which aren't real popular (even here in NC), but it's almost exactly what I want.

Thanks!

Thanks for the links BCM - Yes I was looking for an STX specifically as it had everything I want and nothing that I didn't!

My OTD price included taxes, doc fees etc everything except the registration which the dealer - for some reason - was reluctant to 'include' or discount for.

I agree - its all good harmless fun speccing a truck up until the destination charge is added and then the tax man wants his pound of flesh!
