Last time I checked, I'm a member of the general public.
Edit: I see that you've since edited your post to change your word choice. Dealers tend not to "offer" the best deal that can be had. I'm not sure what you're meaning to assert. You can plainly see what I paid; where is the controversy?

How did you get that deal? I'm nowhere near there but I'm curious on how you approached this to get the number this low.

Excellent deal. They gave you top dollar for your trade too. They have it on their site now for sale and what they gave you is within $600 of what Nadaguides shows for trade in. Sometimes dealers play games with trade ins to make the deal look better but it doesn't appear they did that for you.

A few weeks later, during the Friends & Neighbors promotion, they had advertised a ridiculously low price on another Platinum (about $14,000 below MSRP). For that price, I was willing to forget my order and take whatever they had, even though it had a different engine and body color. I inquired about it, and they said that the price was accurate, and that I could come down to the dealership and buy it that day. When I got there, they discovered that another salesman had sold it the day before. I asked for the same discounts to be applied to my order, and they came pretty close.
A couple of weeks later when I went to settle my trade in and pick up the new vehicle (which happened to be on Black Friday), they originally offered me about $13.5k, IIRC. They were adamant that they couldn't go above $14.5k, but I told them I needed at least $16.5k, otherwise I would just attempt a private sale, which could take days or weeks. I wasn't willing to take the new vehicle until the old vehicle was sold.
At that point, I left the Ford dealership and went across the street to the Mazda dealership (my trade was a Mazda), and asked them what they would pay for my car, which ended up being $17.2k. The Ford dealership matched it, and the rest of the deal went very smoothly.
It's apparent that my buying experience and my eventual price were unusual, and most people wouldn't get this deal, no matter how skilled at negotiating they are. Sometimes it's right place, right time. Still, you have to be opportunistic, and always be willing to walk away from the deal, or wait a little longer.

New to the forum. Just bought a 2015 F150 xlt with the luxury package and some other options. I am not sure I did the best I could have on the price. Can someone confirm if it was ok or not? Every time I buy a vehicle I beat my self up.
The MSRP was $48,860.
Price was $42,612.61 + 689.50(processing) + 1580.64 (tax) + 86.6(tax) + 22.00(other fees) = $44,991.35 - $4750 in rebates. Total: $40,241.35

That's the funny thing about all these posts. One buyer's deal won't be as good as another's, and others still will have deals no one could imagine. But the *best* deal is the one you feel most happy with, the one you're comfortable with at the end of the day.
Besides, posting here you'll just have 10 people tell you it was a terrible deal and you should have got another $5k off like they did, while another 10 people say it was an awesome deal. Not wort the bother.

I'm getting a 2015 Ford F150 Lariat 4x4 FX4 SCREW for 45,515.32 with an msrp of 54,725.00. Good deal? I'm in Texas.
Truecar.com says it's great but I read that can't be trusted because of Fords complicated pricing structure. I read mixed prices on here.

This looks about right. I have priced various lariat models in South Carolina and Georgia and they are all right around 10k off MSRP. Somewhere between 12 and 13 for an XLT

All that said, it's not a bad deal but you might be able to get another $1-2k off at this time of year on a 2015.
