Default Just ordered a 2017 Lariat, hope I got it right

Howdy. Going to upgrade from my 2011 Lariat to a new 2017 model. Just got it ordered at the dealers on Thursday. 2017 Lariat. Supercab, 6.5' bed, platinum white, 502a package, 5.0L, 3.55 locking rear, 4x4, tow package, 36 gallon fuel tank, camel interior, 360 camera, 20" PVD wheels with Wrangler OWS tires, wheel liners, trailer brake controller.

It will be my daily driver (at least for 1 year and 11 months until retirement). I occassionally pull a fiberglass bass boat and a 24' Winnebago Micro Minnie camper.

What say ye?

I have almost the identical truck in the 2016 model. You will thoroughly enjoy the 360 camera as this feature was a must for my purchase.

The 2017 model comes with a few upgraded features like a better SYNC system to give you complete control of your technology.

I've also heard many good things about the Adaptive Cruise control option on these models. Is this an option you will be receiving?

To ultimately answer your question, though, you have made an EXCELLENT decision and you will be VERY happy with your purchase.

Sounds like a winner to me! Looks like you're not counting down until retirement, right? :-)

Looks good to me. Only thing is maybe switching to the 3.73 but probably won't even feel the difference

I'd say you did good. It really all depends on what you are going to use your truck for.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I may be counting days until retirement... I didn't get the adaptive cruise control. I probably should have. The one reason that keeps me from using it on a lot of highways here in Texas, is the constant slowing and accelerating. I have an 18' fiberglass bass boat that I pull sometimes. About 2800 lbs. boat and trailer. Last March we bought a little Travel trailer 24', dry weight 3450 lbs we pulled to a few bluegrass festivals. It pulls ok with my 2011 Lariat with the 5.0 3.55 and weight distrib hitch. I added the 4x4 drive on the 2017.

Get max tow with 3.5 eco an ten speed, better mpg 's and towing ability. If your spending that kind of money get the latest and greatest.
