Default IWE Questions

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. My understanding of the IWE and vacuum system is that when the truck is off vacuum is stored in something using check valves to store it and also that the hubs are engaged. How long does it take for the iwe's to disengage after the truck is started in 2wd? The reason I am wondering is because after I first start the truck up and start moving after the truck has sat for 8+ hrs there is a terrible grinding and clunking noise coming from the front hubs for about 30feet and then it stops. 2016 screw 4x4.

Vacuum will start immediately after the truck is started. You shouldn't have to wait for the IWE to disengage.
