You could go back to the YG360. That updated valve from Ford, AFAIK, was introduced a couple months ago, so it could be iffy that it's on yours. There should be a tag on your hoses that would give you the PN# of the one you have, then cross reference it.
Here's the new one;

I just ordered both the check valve assembly and solenoid for my 2015. I've had the grinding noise occur once for just a few seconds and haven't be able to replicate it... maybe it was a rock. Still, for the cost of those parts its piece of mind to have them on hand.

Appreciate everyone who contributed to this thread.

My post from another thread...
I have become my own expert with this system and fix - service and repair them all on my own now with little effort.

What I will say to everyone on here - especially those who say the grinding sound only happens when they are turning...

The vacuum lines are attached to the spindles with a snap fit hose clamp type bracket. This is the first thing everyone must check.
Both of my sides cracked right where they are secured to the spindle at this point. Make a turn, the cracks open up = vacuum loss = grinding sound or partial engagement.
You can go spend a ton of money replacing the hoses and changing out the IWEs or you can just cut the lines and splice in a couple of hose couplers which can be found for a few bucks and problem is solved.

As previously highlighted in this thread, my dealer diagnosed as "IWE solenoid vacuum check valve leaking." They ordered and installed FL3Z-3A788 parts kit. So far, so good...

Is the check valve hard to install? For less than 10 bucks I'll give it a go myself, if it's not too complicated.

No, 1 minute job. Engine bay. Drivers side. Make note where hoses are connected. Pull said hoses off. Reverse the process. Done.

If your dealer can't replicate the sound, chances are you'll be driving out, the same way you came in. Stop at the parts counter before you leave, you'll need a YG360 valve.
Many guys are noticing it sometimes happens when the temps dip. I did as well.
It's the little round white thingy in the photo.
Hate to tell you to do a search, google is your best bet, since I assume you already did.

Johnday, do you have a picture of how you installed two check valves in tandem?
