Isn't Ford supposed to notify you of a recall?
I purchased my 2015 F150 back in April and I have never received any communications from Ford (more correctly Ford Canada). A bit curious but no big deal I guess. Except that my truck was one of the relatively few which was officially recalled for the steering shaft rivet issue. I only found out about it due to a posting on this forum and was able to confirm my VIN on Ford's recall tracking website. My dealer did the recall work (just an inspection as the rivets looked fine) and thought my recall notice was likely still in the mail at that time. That was back in June I think.
Is is possible my dealer did not register my purchase with Ford?

Dealer notification took place on May 12 and:
OWNER NOTIFICATION MAILING SCHEDULE
Owner Letters are expected to be mailed the week of May 18, 2015. Dealers should repair any affected vehicles that arrive at their dealerships, whether or not the customer has received a letter.

I'm in Ontario and my truck was part of the recall too, I knew about it from this forum but didn't call the dealership, they ended up calling me about 2 months after I found out about the recall, I went in and everything was fine, ford Canada never sent me any recall notice. A bit sad on ford's part, especially since it was steering related.
