Default Interior door handle trim removal?

Anyone know if there's a way to remove that kind of odd door handle trim panel? I don't understand the color choice used and I'd like to wrap it in black vinyl or black carbon fiber, but it goes all way down into the handle where there are grooves and would be so much easier to do off the truck.

Pretty sure you are referring to the carbon fiber trim, and I am pretty sure it won't come off of the panel.

Yes the light gray carbon look trim, I'd like to wrap it black. Is it attached to the door panel and just molded to appear as a separate piece?

If you take the door panel off, there are two nuts on the back side of that trim piece. I've never removed them, but I noticed them when I had my door panel off for something else.

Thanks! I think it'd look better black or much darker, considering it's really only thing that color in the sport black interior xlt. I mocked up and I'd be happy with something darker.

This video starts to explain how to remove it:
(I'm starting you at the 1m point, as that's the relevant part) but doesn't actually show it because he didn't have enough hands...

Matter of fact, this video (by one of the forum vendors!) shows that you can pry that handle right off:

Great thank you! That doesn't look to bad. I'm tempted to try wrapping while it's on the door panel, only because the chrome trim leaves a nice groove to tuck in and keep the look clean. I'll take a closer look, thanks again!

Default Am I missing something.

Thought the op talking about the trim I circled below? I am trying to find out
if the part # of this piece in carbon and if it is replaceable. Long story short, I had drivers window replaced and they messed that piece up trying to get the panel off. I found out after watching the videos it doesnt need tocome off to remove the door panel. I want them to replace it but they are saying its all the single piece of the panel. Anyone know a pn # and if it comes off?
