Default Insurance

Now that several of you have your rides, what have you found for insurance costs compared to your "older" f150's?
Are the rates significantly higher for the aluminum bodies?
Thanks All.

My insurance (Farmers) increased by $26 over 6 months, so almost $4.50/month. Not too bad IMO.

I have a clean driving history, no at fault accidents, no tickets in 8 years. Current truck is a 2010 XLT SCrew 4x4. Replacing with a similar 2015. Insurance will increase $12.00/month.

I quoted what it would be going from an '09 Escape to the '15 F150, full coverage on both, and my increase was around $30. I would expect the same on any newer vehicle.

I took a 2011, F250, Lariat, cc, 6.5 bed, 6.7 diesel(org. sticker 60,000) and added my 2015 F150(Sticker 57,000). Yearly premium down $35, go figure.

Insurance companies charge more for a Super Duty because when in an accident they can do some major damage. That is what my company told me. I figure when my F150 shows up mine will also go down.

I replace a '14 XLT with a '15 Lariat. My insurance went up $54 a year.

You guys do realize that you are breaking the hearts of all the insurance doom and gloomers that predicted huge insurance cost increases?

Maybe next year.

Auto insurance is a shared risk pool. Once those claims start being paid out AND the repair costs go up (versus steel), THEN rates will climb.
